Lightweight, packable, yet strong and spacious
I absolutely love the Eddie Bauer Stowaway Packable Backpack! Itโs incredibly lightweight, yet it offers a surprisingly good capacity for all my essentials. I've taken it on hikes and to amusement parks, and it has performed exceptionally well as it added negligible weight of its own.The comfort level is fantastic; I can wear it for hours without feeling any strain. The adjustable straps help ensure a perfect fit.I like its packability. I can easily stow it in my carry-on luggage when I donโt need it, eliminating the hassle of carrying an extra bag. This makes it super convenient for travel!Overall, I highly recommend this backpack to anyone looking for a versatile, comfortable, and practical option for outdoor activities or travel. Itโs a must-have!

Perfect travel companion.
These work amazingly well for travel. I bought both the 20L and 30L sizes. Honestly, the 20L is large enough for day to day use. I love how they stuff into one of the built in pockets for a compact way to store. Easy to pack, very light weight and after multiple trips to amusement parks, national parks, and various vacation spots it still looks like new.

Second purchase
I love this bag. This is my second purchase. My first purchase lasted me probably 10 years. There's nothing wrong with that bag except that the drink holders on the side are all stretched out at this point. That's really the only reason why I needed to buy a new one. This is extremely lightweight and compact. That is a pro for obvious reasons, but on the cons it doesn't provide a lot of stability or support. Objects that are placed inside the bag sit oddly inside, and the shoulder straps are so paper thin that it does create soreness if using this for real travel. I took my bag to Japan for 2 weeks and yes my shoulders were sore. That's said, I still think it's a good choice for travel and I wouldn't hesitate to get the larger bag for more practicality and use.

Eddie Bauer Stowaway Bag Black 30 Liter
I think they've come out with a similar item to replace this one, but this one is great. I use it as my carry on bag at the airport, and my tote once I get to my destination. Large, comfortable to wear with its padded straps, and a decent amount of compartments. Well made and durable.

Good packable day pack at a great price.
I try to travel light, with only carry-on luggage. Mostly that means a large carry-on bag and a large-ish backpack that barely fits under an airplane seat. But that pack is too bulky and heavy to make an ideal daypack once I'm at the destination, and you can't have 3 carry-on bags. The solution is this Eddie Bauer daypack. It really does pack into its own zipper pocket, so it's easy to tuck into one of your carry-ons. Once folded out, it's plenty large enough for rain gear, snacks, water bottle, etc. So far it seems durable despite being very lightweight; it just came through two weeks of daily use with flying colors. And it's comfortable to wear.My one minor complaint is that the mesh water bottle/umbrella pockets are a little too shallow, so things have a tendency to fall out of them when you're taking the pack off or putting it on (or riding in the back of a pickup on a rough road...). I'd suggest tethering anything you keep in those pockets to the pack to avoid accidental loss.

A well constructed very lightweight backpack
I have been using this backpack for about a month now. I bought this backpack to carry a laptop, a few pens and a steno book in for work. I had a normal HP Laptop bag, but it was getting heavy and felt lopsided. This packable backpack seemed like the solution, and it is. Being so lightweight, it lacks some of the protective padding of a laptop bag or backpack, but this has not been an issue. I like that the zippers open from the right to the left and close from left to right. That just seems more natural than some of the others that feel "backwards". The strap length is adjustable and they are long enough to fit over my shoulders, even with a light jacket on. I seriously did not expect any backpack to do this, even without a jacket, and thought I would have to hand carry it, but I was pleasantly surprised. If you saw how wide my shoulders are and how large around my upper arms were, you would understand why this is such a surprise. I can actually wear this like a normal person and that means a lot right there. I don't carry a lot of things in it, mostly because I really need to keep the weight to a minimum. Normally I am a pack-rat with any type of bag, but nowadays I have had to change that. This pack has stood up well with no signs of wear or damage for over a month. That is also a pleasant surprise. The black nylon and Eddie Bauer logo gives a professional but not stuffy aesthetic appropriate for an office full of engineers, planners, programmers and accountants.

Lightweight and looks good
This is a sturdy, roomy backpack. A great value. I carry it for work and I can fit a tablet, portable printer, flashlights and all my person stuff inside. When it's delivered, it unfolds from a small zippered pouch (about the size of a cosmetic bag) into a full back pack. Nice to know if I ever want to carry it in a pocket, car or suitcase to have a bag "on the go". It looks good too!. And lightweight. My job furnishes a canvas backpack but I like this lightweight parachute material much better. It is deep also. Very stylish. It does have Eddie Bauer on the outside but it is very subtle. I am happy with my purchase.

No shoulder pads
This is a great backpack. However if youโre planning to hike with this backpack, it may be uncomfortable. Due to the lack of no support on the back & no shoulder straps. Putting heavy items in this bag should be kept to a minimum. I packed pretty light & went on a 7 mile hike. It got the job done, but my shoulders were hurting. A great backpack overall that can pack away into a small square
