It lifts the laptop nicely, so it can be used comfortably alongside my monitor. In my case, it is useful that there is no piece across the back, which lets me position it to straddle part of my desk.I’m sure what the other reviewer’s issue is, in terms of assembly. You just have to position it so you’re pushing the acrylic thing Into the bend of each metal piece with your thumb. Directions include a video, if needed. As for the complaint about the logo..... it is a sticker! Which peels off easily and without leaving residue. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Assembly tip *by S***W on January 28, 2018* The stand is functional and does the job. It took me a few minutes to figure out the assembly. I thought I had to press down on the leges to get the center bar to snap into place, but that's not necessary. You just have to pull the plastic center bar forward into the crease of the leg until it snaps in. ### ⭐ Returned - Could not be assembled *by C***S on January 24, 2018* I bought this stand to be used at work since my neck is tired of me looking down at my laptop. My poor rating is due to the fact that I could not assemble the stand. I don't know if the stand I received was defective, but myself and three of my coworkers attempted to put it together, and none of us succeeded. It seems like the clear center bar, which is supposed to hold together the two z shaped arms, has no way of latching onto/snapping into the side arms.
