Envirofit Flashlight Lantern

I was looking for an emergency light for when power goes out. After pricing some kerosene lamps, I decided that was both too messy and expensive for high quality lamps. So I rolled the dice on this. I have been very pleased with it thus far. You can use it as a lantern or a flashlight or both at the same time. The reflector plate helps diffuse the light and makes the lantern function very helpful. As for cranking, it is a breeze to use and charges the battery very quickly. I am going to be ordering more for the rest of the rooms in the house.UPDATE: After a 24 hour power outage, these were great! I have 3 of them and they became the flashlight that I sent with the kids when they had to go to the bathroom. After having them for a couple of years and now battle tested, they are a staple in my power outage emergency kit. Highly recommended!

I really like this flashlight/lantern. It charges really quickly with the crank and the light is pretty bright. I bought this for camping and it works great. Some features that I like...you can choose to only use either the flashlight or lantern, or you can use them both at the same time; also the loop at the top opens and closes with a button so it can easily be hung up in the tent or elsewhere; also mine came with power cord that has a USB on one end and a DC plug on the other that plugs into the flashlight, but I haven't tried using it yet. Additionally, shipping was very fast on this item. Overall I am very satisfied :)

We lose our power almost every time we have a fairly bad storm, so I bought this to use as our light source. It is so well made, easy to use and the best part is that it doesn't take a battery. You can hand crank it to charge it; the crank is really easy to use, but I don't know how long it would take to charge it that way. We try to charge it through the computer if we know bad weather is on the way. I would definitely buy this again and would like to see what else this company makes.

While searching for a flashlight-lantern combination on amazon, this was the only product that I found that was (1) a flashlight-lantern combo, and (2) crank-powered. It works perfectly. During the next power outage, I should be able to use it to read without worrying about batteries going dead.

Ordered two. Came with USB to charge. Will wind nicely. Two levels of lighting. Bright enough to get around with. Large hook on top so you can even hang it on a branch if needed. Only feed back is that how do you know it is fully charged? I had it plugged in for 5 hours and red light still on. Not explained in documentation.

I wanted a flashlight n lantern that does not need battery n i saw it at REI for about $50 or so. When i saw this, i was skeptical due to the price but it was exactly what i wanted n the price is great.update. I bought 30 more n gave it as gift!!everyone love it!!

Good flashlight for the price. Like the fact you can charge this up in case of emergencies. I actually haven't tried the wind-up feature yet, so I can't attest to how well this holds up. Purchased this for worse-case scenario in these end times.

Light is much brighter than I was expecting. Will be perfect for inside a tent, and definitely handy for power outages.
