Q: Does it have a handle or easy way to lift and carry?

no but the size is small enough so that grabbing it by the neck and bottom make for easy to move. but when full you need a bit of strength as it is like lifting 3 milk jugs. they are handles you can buy but i use those for my 6 gallon ones

Yes, I bought several of these for that purpose, and they work perfectly. You can buy BPA-free snap-on type lids here on amazon that fit them as well (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0070VYI50/).
