Second time is a charm? Read Below. And yes, I'd recommend it.
***Real final update!*** I had it on for over 9 and a half hours on a bike ride via aux/line-in and it was still going.***Final Update*** I ran it today for over 7 hours via the Aux/Line-in input and it was still running. I just had to turn it off because there were some things I needed to do. I'm glad I gave it a second chance. I may post a "video review" consisting of the audio captured with my Contour Roam2 (with the recording level set at 20) to show how clear the device is.***Update #2*** I decided to up it to 5 stars. Though my nitpicks still stand I've now used it quite a few timesand when it's setup with devices that it gets along with it's a fine product. Loud enough for my needs and batterylife is easy 4/5 hours. I've yet to drain it.***Update*** I took the second unit out for a ride today and it behaved quite nicely. I use the deviceby way of the Aux input. It was on for over 4 and a half hours playing audio and once I unplugged the deviceit was still on for another 3 hours (sans output!). I'd say it lasts for quite a long time.I still can't get it to play off of the Sansa Clip+ (I used my ancient iRiver H340 with the remote) and evenwhen paired with a FiiO E6 the sound is rather low and the E6 goes empty at an hour and twenty minutes or so.As such, I'm changing the rating from 1 star to 4 stars (I'm knocking off one star for the hassle I'm havingwith the Sansa Clip+. Could it be an impedance issue?) barring any future failures.Provided you've got a device that works with it, it'll make you a happy person.---------------------------------------------------------I took it out for a ride earlier in the week with a friend and it worked fine by way of bluetooth.Today I hooked it up to my Sandisk Sansa via the Aux line (I used my own aux cable) and it failed miserably. Any touch or movement of the cable provides static, the sound even when the bike was at a stop either failed to come out at all or would chop in and out with crappy volume. (I tested it out at home with other cables, same story.)I then decided to switch to Bluetooth and use the phone + Pandora, guess what. NADA! It pairs up but nary a peep. A shame really as I so wanted this to work. I will be RMA'ing it and hoping that the replacement device will be better. But as for now I have no choice but to give it a one star rating. Bummer.I also noticed that the volume buttons don't work with the aux/line in input. Is that normal for this device?

Does it needs to for the price with some minor quibbles
I have been using this for several months now. My only complaint is that the bluetooth connection to my phone can be spotty at times. Most of the time it is rock solid, but sometimes I keep getting 'dropouts' of the sound which is distracting while listening to music. The charging light on the back stopped working fairly soon after I bought it, but the battery works well and it lasts a long time. While I wish it got a bit louder, I can live with the volume. The buttons are difficult to push while riding, and the volume buttons seem to only function as 'high' or 'low' at times. I routinely have trouble finding the buttons in the dark, since they are only marked by subtle cuts in the rubber. I wish the buttons were the neon green that they insisted on using on the garish band, and I wish the band was simply black in stead. All in all it does what I need it to and, as long as it works for at least a year, I'll feel that I got my money's worth.

Great Little Speaker
When I first got this I was surprised at how small it was and when I I first put in on the bike I thought I might be returning it. It turned out to be a great little gadget. It's not a $200 Boom, but for the prices it's well worth it. Small, light weight, and easy to install and use. Sound is good for a small speaker. It's easy to point it right at you so you can hear it well. Ease of use, light weight, and decent sound make it a keeper!

Worthwhile but small design flaws are disappointing.
I like it. It links up easily to the blue tooth on my iPhone. Light weight and loud enough to fill your ride with tunes, without drowning out road noises (like cars). The down sides are: The strap looks a bit flimsy so I expect it will break at some point, but one can easily replace with rubber bands. Other small issues. Documentation is poor, I think this has some auto-on feature with the phone, but I cannot tell and the documentation is useless. Also the LED indicators are hard to read and interpret. and the rubber piece that covers the input ports does not stay in place.
