Not what it claims to be
A plastic piece of complete junk. The nosepiece does not fit in the nostrils tightly, so it can't really do the filtering it claims to do, you will get other air in, anyway. It also doesn't open up nostrils any more than normal. A Breathe Right strip does a much better job at that, without invading your mucus membranes with bacteria, as anything inserted in your nose will do. It creates no back pressure in the Constant Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) mode, even though it claims to in the boxed directions, and so, cannot keep your airway open. If you want something that does, buy some Provent or Theravent strips, which although expensive in the long run, both seal well ( if no moustache in the way) and create a CPAP effect that actually works, since it is harder to breathe out than in, thus sending pressure back into your throat to keep your airway open...not as good as a CPAP machine, but okay for short term use. I was hoping this device was designed to do that, but it doesn't. Likely nothing more there but a plastic housing and a cheap and flimsy filter of some sort. Also, it has a perfume smell to make you think it might be doing some air purifying, but a kleenex would do better on both scent and filtering. To add insult to injury, on the second insertion into my nostrils, it came apart and I could not get it back together. On the box it says it is made in China, so it probably is also full of deadly lead, like their toys they send us. Don't waste your money or time on this, this is a ripoff at any price.

It works for me, ymmv
For me, this product works. I can see how it might not be as effective for others, especially if you have smaller nasal cavities, but it's really cut my snoring down as reported by my wife and I don't wake up as much in the night. That said, pay attention to the other reviews. Is it a little uncomfortable? Yes. But after several days, I'm used to it and my CPAP is really uncomfortable, to where I can't use it.Does the product shift and fall out in the night? Yes. I don't see how they could resolve that without making it pinch even more. And again, relative to CPAP, it's way better.Does it need to be cleaned? Yes. I clean mine every morning with just hot water and rubbing on the nostril part. I don't wet the filter. Even after one use it was gunked up. The instructions say it's to be replaced in 6 months so I'm guessing that is when the filter is done. It's not going to work for everyone, but for me, I'm getting better sleep and my heart rate monitor is showing a huge decrease in resting heart rate. It's not a medical device etc etc but it's helping me. So much I just ordered a second one to give my dad for Christmas. For $5, it's worth a try.

Ouch
Device came in on time and as expected, no problems what so ever. The aid fits very snugly into the nasal passages, but I find that the parts that insert inside the nostril are very rigid on the soft skin. It's a plastic that should be a soft silicone. Other have reported that this has caused nosebleeds and after using for the second night, I can see how prolonged use could cut into you.The one night that I used the device, I felt like it was effective. The second night felt like it was cutting into me so I didn't use it. I will try again tonight before deciding to keep or return the device.

Painful on nose
Great idea, i wish it didn't hurt so much to stick it in your nose. It does seem to help keep the dust etc out. I have a real problem waking up STUFFY in the morning. This does help prevent that. Too bad the part that goes into your nose is hard and painful on your nose. It feels like it's stretching your nostrils out. I would love to use it if they made a softer and less painful version.

A MEDICAL DISASTER
So I used this for two or three nights, and found them to be at least a little bit helpful. Not a magic solution, but helpful. But the tubes irritated the lining of my nostrils and by the last night I found that my nose to be too sore to put the device back in. The next day, when I felt that nose was a bit clogged, I blew my nose, and the tissue was filled with bloody scans. Immediately after the scabs were blown out, an epic gushing nosebleed was next, followed by my going into shock. Fortunately I was on a train, and a public announcement announcement for medical help produced a nurse who helped me through the nosebleed and subsequent shock, dizziness and profuse sweating. When I told her about the snoring device and the irritation of my nostrils she said “well you need to get in touch with the manufacturer and tell them you’ve had this problem, it seems to me like this would happen to most people who try to stick this thing up their nose every night”.

Eliminated...
I purchased this item, to save on getting a Sleep Apnea Machine. They are pretty pricey. Fit comfortably. I woke up in the middle of the night. Felt like I couldn't breathe. But overall, loved it! My hubby said my snoring was not much as before, was tolerable. When I took the breath aid out in the morning, my nostril felt sore. Possible from not being use to having an item stuck in there for hours. Guess will take time getting use to. Great product! Thanks!

Eh!
If you are really loud snorer don’t buy it, see a doctor instead. My husband snores the loudest you can imagine and this anti snoring device doesn’t help anything.

Helps but doesn’t stop it totally
Bought this for my at the time boyfriend and it’s not the ultimate answer for a quiet night, BUT it did reduce the snores.
