I had plans to build a ramp because it's getting harder and harder to get my wife's wheelchair up/down the 5" step at the front door. This ramp is a MUCH better solution. I can use it to get the chair out of the house, put it the back of the van in case I need it at our destination, and then use it again to get the chair back into the house. It folds easily and stores behind the front door when not in use. Much better than a permanent wooden ramp at the door.

Needed this for my mother who was in a wheelchair. I needed it to go down 3 steps off my deck. It’s kinda tricky actually. It’s so long that it feels a bit wobbly at times, although I wouldn’t call it unsafe. And while it is technically portable, it is also VERY heavy and clunky to fold, unfold, and transport. So just know that, I mean it’s expensive so when you’re in need like I was with my mother’s health situation, you’ll live with it. But just know it took me and my husband together struggling. On the other hand, I bet I’ll have this forever and it can be used for various uses.

Easy to install and remove and carry.

This ramp seems to be sturdy enough for what we need. Just be aware that it is heavy enough that two people are needed to maneuver it and set it up, unless you are strong.
