Towever 84170 4 inches Drop Hitch Class III/IV Loaded Ball Mount with 2 inches Ball Starter Kit

This drop hitch appears to be very sturdy, but if you need to change the ball, be prepared for some exercise. I needed to go with a 1 7/8 ball and a 4" drop. I ended up turning the assembly on its side, sliding it into the receiver, and then standing on a two-foot Crescent wrench (I weigh 205) and bouncing on it until I was able to get it to move. I needed a second hitch, one to keep in my truck, and one to keep in the trailer box. I let friends borrow my trailer regularly and some don't own a hitch. Odd, I know... but I let them borrow mine. I hate to lend out something i don't have a spare of in case they forget to return it or its damaged. Yes, I want to get a second trailer too! This arrived in decent shape, no marks from shipping. It comes with a pin and clip, but i use a locking pin, so it will go in the loaner pile. Seems well made and sturdy. I dont usually haul more than 5k lbs anyways so this is all i need. I would buy again (if they lose my hitch).

The nut is so tight that I couldn't break it loose with a 4 foot cheater bar. You get what you see. Don't think that you can flip it the other way or change the ball. They might as well welded it on. I had to stop before rolling the corners off the hex.

Like the hitch. But it came put together as pictured. Was not aware of that. I wanted the ball opposite as pictured. Using it for a side x side. Need the lift not the drop. Took it to a mechanic to switch it. Didn't have tools big enough. Like the product, built strong. Recommended if you don't mind a little hassle at first.

Great fit nice and heavy duty seems very sturdy and a whole lot cheaper than going to the store and buying everything individually

Our Ram pickup is raised higher than the average pickup up due to the fact it is a 3500 so when we wanted to haul an enclosed trailer we needed a hitch that had a bigger drop than what we already had in our possession that way the trailer was being hauled somewhat level.

Bought this for my jeep,because I had to have a drop down hitch to tow, hated to take my tire off every time I pulled something. Tire was in the way.

The build quality for this hitch was questionable at best. It's a good value for the price but it's questionable whether it will actually last or not. The weld seams are not clean at all. Ended up returning it.

Solid construction, fits well, great value. It is not easy to find a reciever with a 4" drop in this price range. Perfect for my lifted Jeep. Great buy!

It a hitch, it works with a 2007 Jeep Wrangler unlimited where the spare tire outside is in the way of a straight one.

Comes ready to use with ball mounted, great value for the price!

Came quickly and appears in good shape. Fits snugly into my hitch, though I have not had a chance to test it out.
