Good quality product
Easy to assemble pole and base. Good quality black paint. We will see how it holds up over the years. Looks nice.

Flimsy but gets the job done
This thing works but is flimsy, and yes I followed the directions and tightened the pipe before installation. When you type the code the entire pole swings back and forth. It definitely gets the job done and hasn't broke yet

solidly built.
The face that the keypad attaches to is perfectly positioned. I like this one because it extends out farther. I added some reflective stickers and a small solar light to keep it safe. My last one was hit multiple times by prople backing out of my driveway. This one is sturdy though so i would imagine the cars would take the damage from this one

Wobbly, flimsy sticky and unsteady. Not sure how long it'll last

Sturdier Than Expected, A Little Tricky to Put Together
I ordered this since I needed a metal tube with a right angle on it to mount a 4K camera in an indoor location. It fit the bill for my needs with a little modification, and should work OK for its intended purpose as well. I ended up using a tubing cutter to remove the mounting plate on the short arm, and then inserted a star nut since I did not need the huge mounting surface that this comes with.Putting the individual pieces of this together was a little challenging since they have crimped threads and the paint is applied over the threads on the male ends. It all fits together, but it's kind a of dry and stiff feel turning the tubes together. You don't want to grab the tubes with any sort of tools that will damage the finish, so I opted to add a little lubricating oil to help things turn together more easily. If you run the threads in and out a couple times, the paint wears off and helps ease assembly.I couldn't make a comparable post out of conduit and weld it together and paint if black for the cost of this one, so it was easier just to order this and modify it a little. It's strong enough to do the job for a keypad - as long as nobody runs into it. It's overkill for my task with the CCTV camera, but I can't argue with the value. Add a little lubrication when putting it together, and you should be good.
