New functionality to the traditional stand
This product offers an awesome new aspect of functionality to the traditional stand. The stand is very sturdy, and assembles within a matter of minutes. The included bag is what makes this stand worth buying. It offers two pouches one for the (1) tube section which folds in, and collapses within itself. The second pouch is for the sheet holder portion. It fits comfortably within, and the zippers go the full length of the bag for easy inserting. The bag is easy to carry with a shoulder strap and a hand strap as well. The stand itself is sturdy with adjustment points for the angle of the stand, height of the stand, and the width of the tripod base. The stand is also ample enough to hold my iPad, book, and phone, as I've witnessed during my teaching sessions. It also gives the impression that it could hold weight. It held up my old music sheets binder which weighed about 5-6 pounds, and 2 inches thick.

Love It
I ordered this stand , and got it quickly - just in time for a gig , and what a huge relief to not have to carry the heavy metal stand I used before . The bag also makes it look neat , and it was easy and light to carry , freeing both hands to carry other things. I used a little petroleum jelly on the upright part when I got it to allow it to slide more freely when opening and closing it .The finish is very professional, with enough room on the shelf for pencils etc . Sturdy , and no problem with it toppling over when I just tried to see how it handled a heavy book. A music teacher also saw it and was surprised at the price for the product , and was going to recommend it for his students (and himself) .The carry bag is really great .

Better than expected
I had been comparing portable music stands for quite sometime, and came across the hamilton stand. I was even more motivated to buy the product with a made in the USA label which this manufacturer advertised. When it arrived, I was a little disappointed when I saw the made in Vietnam sticker on the box. Oh well. I put the stand together, and was satisfied with the sturdiness of the product. The plastic thumbscrews that are used to tighten the unit together are somewhat poor in quality, but not a deal breaker. It's easy to assemble/disassemble.Adjustments are easy to do, and the shelf of the stand is adequete for just about everything. The carrying case is a must. The stand is lightweight, and the case fits well. I do quite a few outdoor park concerts, and being able to carry everything I need in one trip is a real bonus. I have 30 year old Hamilton trombone stands that are still in great shape, which made this purchase fairly easy. I don't believe this portable music stand will last quite that long, but I hope to find out. Overall, I believe this to be a good value.

Portable Music Stand with a Convenient Case
I bought this stand because it came with a case. That fact that it came with a music stand was just a bonus! I used to use one of those little portable fold-up music stands because I could easily carry it at the same time as my trumpet and my music, etc., when I went to band. The tray wasn't very deep, and my music was always falling off. But, I had refused to get a "big music stand" like everyone else because it would require making 2 trips to carry all my stuff when I went to practice or a performance. Then I discovered this portable stand, and it is wonderful. The case can be carried by the handle or the shoulder strap. It is very sturdy for a portable music stand. The tray is deep enough to hold my music without falling off. This is exactly what I need. Hamilton KB90 Traveler II Portable Music Stand

portable music stand
I really like the music stand. It is far more substantial than anything else that folds up. I like the solid desk. I also like the bag - it is spacious enough to carry the stand, a light and your music for the gig. It is heavier than the "fold-up-in-one-piece" stands but well worth the effort. The bag can fold up and be stashed inside your instrument case during the performance.6 months later ---I love this stand. Carrying it to rehearsals and/or gigs is a tiny bit more trouble than the "fold-up-in-one-piece" types, but, again, well worth the effort. The bag has the zipper on the bottom so you have to be careful when you start packing it - you're loading it from the bottom up. Overall, no regrets - I am happy with this stand!

just what I was looking for
This music stand is lightweight, sturdy, and easy to use. The icing on the cake is the great carrying case with shoulder strap, and lots of extra room for music, mutes, and other "stuff."When I first got the stand I complained that they had failed to include the shoulder strap. Amazon replaced the entire stand. When I failed to find the shoulder strap in the replacement order, I asked to contact the manufacturer. They got back to me reasonably quickly, and asked me if I had looked behind the velcro flap. "What velco flap?," I replied. Sure enough, there was the shoulder strap folded flat in this tiny, virtually invisible space. Apparently I'm not the only one who missed it - but if you order this stand, now you know where to look for the shoulder strap!
