This is the basics, you will not read this book and be ready to build a cabin. You will have the basics to start your plans and create the basic framing plan and general outline that can be turned over to a real architect. I found the basics on a-frames very helpful. Roof angles and board lengths covered very well. Easy to plan the rough build cost for your cabin using this book.

This book was exactly what I was looking for. It had a loy of information about different building methods.

An excellent resource for both novice and professional builders of all ages. Lot's of explanations on how to do things the right way, plenty of pictures and easy to follow diagrams. You can't go wrong with a copy of this in your library.

This book is the average Joes guide to building o ff grid in a simple easy to understand layout complete with materials list and how to on digging wells. Worth your money.

Very informative for either the total novice or the more experienced builder. I would recommend it to anyone considering building a get-a-way in the woods.

Great book great illustrations not quite as detailed as I would have liked but a great read
