It would be a great idea, if it worked....
The antenna arrived in a shipping box so mangled that it was hard to believe the product inside was still intact, but it was. So, with some excitement for the convenience promised, it was unpacked and assembled. After downloading the app from the Google store and connecting the device to power, I followed the instructions in the app, and then followed them again, and again. The SSID for the antenna didn't show up, then it did, then it didn't. Then it wouldn't authenticate on my wifi network, then it did, then it didn't. Then I uninstalled/reinstalled the app, restarted the antenna, and then did it all again. It finally connected after several attempts, and then successfully scanned for stations and downloaded the guide. OK...hassle, but now it's working...great...convenient OTA television. For 15 minutes..then the audio cutout and the video froze..on all stations, all the time.Did it all again with same results...so....packed it up and returned it.

Very worth the purchase, and it DOES work on Android
This antenna does more than I expected. I simply wondered if there was a wireless antenna so that the coaxal cable would not have to be strung across the room; remembering to move it when guest came! So I did some reading and stumbled upon WatchAir. It shipped quickly and I am very pleased with the solution. Not only are the cables gone, but better yet, I have DVR.Setting up properly took several days in my case, because I started off using an android phone and the directions supplied. Once I switched to my iPad to help identify a good location, and received faq instructions from WatchAir, the process went pretty smoothly. I get the most important stations in my area. My original antenna is in the attic and the control is in the communications box on the first floor. The strengths are that the system is wireless, has a DVR, and has a responsive help desk. The channels are what one would likely get with basic cable and there is no loss in quality. Having a TV schedule is also very convenient. Also, being able to view on various devices is awesome. The app works well. The price was reasonable. There is no monthly fee for DVR as with streaming services. What could be improved. You cannot record one channel and watch another. Two persons cannot watch different channels. You cannot set a show to record daily. If you leave a recorded show and come back, it does not remember where you were and give the option to resume. It starts at the beginning. You cannnot watch a show away from your network. (This might be an industry norm)The instructions could be written much better. It really does work on an Android phone, but It was much easier to install using my iPad. I think it was a matter of using a tablet versus a phone rather than Android versus IOS. In fact the TV guide is more descriptive on my Android phone than on my iPad. However, I think that more support could be given Android. But it does work. For me, it is taking an investment of time to get this working as I like; however, I am very pleased with the resulting service and recommend it.In summary I am very pleased with the purchase and recommend it.

Not Ready For Prime Time
PROS: (1) Ability to make OTA broadcasts available via home network to any device or TV in your household. (2) On-screen Program Guide, which is well-designed and easy to use. I accessed it via the Roku app. (3) Ability to record and watch shows (with caveats listed below).CONS: (1) The supplied antenna did not perform as well as my cheap 1byone antenna. It seemed to be very sensitive to the EXACT direction of my broadcast stations in the DFW area (as given by antennaweb.org). (2) The unpredictable and confusing performance of recording. If you can get a show recorded, playing it works well. However, it was unable to record to the extra media I supplied via a 32-gb microSD card, even though it recognized the card and showed it to be available to record on. As a consequence. when I tried to record shows that would extend outside the limit of their built-in 8-gb media, I would get a "insufficient space" error. This limited me to only 3 or 4 shows recorded at a time. (3) Perhaps most disappointing of all was the Help Desk support I got through Email. I frequently had to clarify and re-send questions and issues, and for the last 10 days have received no emails from them at all.To summarize, I would say this product is well-conceived and much needed in the market, but because of the Cons listed above, Not Ready For Prime Time (IMO). I hear they have an excellent tech staff. Hopefully, they will be able to improve AirWatch in the near future. Then their Help Desk could spend more time explaining a robust system and less time dealing with actual problems and issues.

A Perfect Addition To The Cord Cutters Tool Set
It's the perfect addition to my cord cutting tools. I found that there is more content than I could ever watch on Amazon Prime, Hulu and Netflix so I could cut the cord for about 25.00 per month but I did miss having access to live sports and live local news on a big news day. This is the perfect solution. For the price of 2.5 months of cable, I get a very good antenna(I get over 40 channels in my area and I don't live that close to the transmitters) AND a DVR. It's like getting a TIVO and HD Antenna in one that you can simultaneously "plug" into every TV and mobile device. The only drawback I see, but that is not a deal breaker for us, is the single tuner. You can only record or watch one live stream at a time. You can watch recordings while viewing or recording a live stream though. It would get a 5 star if it had 2 tuners but still a product I highly recommend.
