DIY Bass Guitar
Built this for a friend who was shy about guitar construction. Assembly was straightforward for an experienced builder but the lack of any instructions will put off some folks. Parts were complete and of good quality. Finished guitar plays well and looks good.

Not for a beginner
This instrument had so many issues during the build. Primarily the cut out in the body was 1/8in bigger than the neck so getting the neck on the body straight was a huge challenge. You must have a modicum of wood working knowledge to make this product function properly. I fixed the problem by using Accuglass to fix the neck to the body and keep it stable. This is the same stuff they use for glass bedding magnum rifles so I don't expect it to ever crack. The bass sounds pretty good for as many issues as it has during assembly.

THE BEST DA.. PRODUCT ON THE MARKET!!!
This unit is a 1000 times better than I expected! I have had the best time putting it together. When I got ready to set it up,the trust rod adjustment was already right. The pick ups are out of this world, very sensitive. l can't say enough good about it. I would and will recommend it to anyone. A wonderful product!!!!!! THANK YOU ALSTON GUITARS!!!

Wanted To Try
There was no missing parts every thing was there, body was on the small side. Just keep in mind that you will need to drill holes for every thing and take your time in placing the bridge there is no template in placing making. Electronics are on the cheap side. But all together no to bad sounds good.

Great no problems at all, a real steal for $100!
This kit was a great deal for a bass made of solid mahogany. The neck is also mahogany and is perfect! You will have to solder the electronics yourself, but don't worry, there are numerous diagrams on the internet. This bass looks like a yamaha, and looks like it is worth far more that in cost. BUY IT!

One Star
The parts were not as advertised and the neck did not fit the body. I sent it back.

Nice looking
Looks nice, but don't expect any kind of directions... you are on your own with building this one. I bought a complete bass for less than the kit so I recommend shopping around.
