Nice scanner, only works when a text input is available
This scanner is a nice and easy way to add a physical barcode reader to practically any smartphone. I use mine with a Pixel 7 and it works well. The scanning is pretty fast and reliable, the buttons are easy to press and the battery lasts a good long while. The mounting clips can be a touch finnicky but overall do the job -- though they only barely fit my fairly slim case, and would have trouble attaching around any bulky cases. In terms of usability, the major wrench in things is that it emulates a keyboard to do the data entry. That means you scan something, and it essentially types out the letters/numbers really fast as if you plugged in a keyboard and did it yourself. Therefore, it only works with apps that give you a text input field -- something that expects you to point your camera at a barcode, for example, may not work. Overall, this is usable for most things, but it is worth keeping in mind for more specific use cases and applications that it could be a barrier to entry. The build quality is nice and it's slim and lightweight enough to fit nicely in my back pocket throughout the day at work, without becoming an issue or adding any really noticeable bulk. In order to pair the scanner and switch modes/change settings, there are codes listed in the manual that you can scan. You can also use the scanner with a USB-C cable, which is a nice touch and adds some extra compatibility.

Not recognized by iphone and samsung phones after 2 weeks
Not recognized by iphone and samsung phones after 2 weeks. Blocks side buttons if you push forward on the phone. If you lost manual you cannot change any settings. Seller should put some setting barcodes as pdf to online.

Simplifies Scanning
The Kedida KDA010 scanner is not the kind of product that people typically get excited about. Barcode and QR scanners are a fact of life, and smart phones have been able to serve as a scanner for some time now.The KDA010 scanner does, however, deserve some attention, especially if in your business there is a regular need to scan products for inventory, receiving, etc.In the past, app-based scanning has been cumbersome, requiring a phone app to be paired with an Excel plugin running on a laptop-hosted copy of Excel. Or perhaps a wireless scanner was used to send files directly to the laptop, limiting your team to working within wireless range of the laptop, and limited to areas with Wi-Fi connectivity. With the KDA010 it is simple to add data to Excel files in real time from anywhere with cellular service. Using your company's OneDrive to host the spreadsheet, and, opening it directly on the cell phone's Excel app, this Bluetooth paired scanner can begin adding scanned data straight to the cloud hosted data sheet. This streamlined workflow allows for real time monitoring of the inventory/shipping/receiving/etc. tasks associated with scanning, and as it is possible for data to be hosted via OneDrive, Dropbox, etc. in the cloud, that monitoring can be done from any other location globally. Progress can be tracked, and the data is immediately actionable. The scanner itself is feels solid yet light, with multiple buttons capable of triggering the scanner, so that users may trigger whichever is most ergonomic for them. It is responsive and needs almost no time to ready itself for the next scan. The device grips securely to the back of a cell phone, even larger ones such as the iPhone Pro Max series devices, and with padded contacts which prevent scuffing the case of the phone.About the only downside is that the manual included relies heavily - perhaps too heavily - on QR codes to change settings on the device. The default settings will work for most use cases, however, so this is a minor concern. The scanner itself was easy to pair via Bluetooth, too.If your team has been using any of the traditional scanners from years past, I would suggest that you try one of these as an upgrade. You may find, as we did, that we could complete our scanning considerably faster than we ever could previously, and get that information to the hands of those that needed it in real time.

I. LOVE. THIS. SCANNER.
Whoops, probably shouldn't have yelled that. I couldn't help it! I adore this little device. Part of the work I do includes having to inventory devices while performing an installation. Recording the model and serial number from each piece of gear can get tedious, and I'm constantly rechecking as I transcribe so I don't make an error. This little beauty has changed my life. Now, I simply tap where I want the information, scan the barcode, and it populates it for me.The battery has so far lasted at least a full day of occasional to frequent use. It automatically turns off when you haven't scanned (hit a button) in a couple of minutes, so it doesn't drain the battery quickly. I'll have to dedicate some time to 'stress testing' it to see if I can deplete the battery.I've tested and successfully scanned several types of barcodes (1D and 2D - so, the lines and the square ones they love to post on your screen during morning TV). Once or twice, the scan returned incomplete data, but it is likely that I just improperly scanned the barcode (caught in on an angle and missed some lines. A second scan captured them correctly. No different than any other barcode scanner.Pairing was super simple. Just power up the device and, once the light is flashing, just scan for Bluetooth devices on your phone. Paired the first time, and has not failed to auto-pair since that time. A simple press of any button on the scanner wakes it up and, if my phone is nearby (with Bluetooth on), it connects immediately. Unlike some devices I've used over the years which seem to forget how to pair, this one has worked flawlessly each time. I appreciate the method it 'attaches' to my phone. The spring-loaded arms grip securely to my phone, without being too tight and risking damage. So far, I haven't had any issues with it coming loose. Also, the low-profile design doesn't add awkward bulk to my phone. I can still slip my phone into my pants pocket comfortably and the scanner stays in place. Overall, just a well designed little device that does it's job well.
