Alex Evenings Women's Two Piece Mother of The Bride Dress with Lace Jacket (Petite and Regular Sizes)

I purchased this for my mom to wear for the Captain's dance on her cruise and to wear to a wedding. She is a "larger" (Size 12) petite woman, and this dress looks simply AMAZING on her. The fit is absolutely perfect, as the top is slightly stretchy, and the A-line style is very flattering (and forgiving) for her figure. The quality is great as usual (and expected) of the Alex Evenings dresses. This is the fourth Alex Evenings dress I have bought for her, and she has loved every one of them. I ordered literally at least a dozen dresses this time for her to choose from, and she tried on several. Once she saw the color of this and tried it on, she KNEW this was IT. She didn't even want to try on the rest of the dresses! Haha! The color is just STUNNING. I highly recommend this dress and the Alex Evenings brand to anyone who has trouble finding a beautiful dress that fits well for special occasions.

Excellent look. Very flattering. Laid well. Some stretch in bodice, but positive in fit. Skirt draped well. Would buy again. Could probably size down.

Love the fit and feel of the dress.The fabric did have some give. I am size 18-20 and the 18 was just a little snug by looking in the mirror, but was still really comfortable.The problem: I thought the sparkle was from a metallic thread interwoven. It was actually fine glitter… I had purple glitter from the bedroom to the kitchen unfortunately. As this was a MOG dress, I could not see covering my son or my new DIL with glitter that would show up randomly in pictures. Had to return.SELLER: the shipping was a couple weeks I think, but the RETURN WAS A BREEZE! Some of the other nightmare ‘free’ returns I've had to deal with on these types of dresses is not free and you don’t get your money back.I wound up buying a different Alex evening dress - so highly recommend the designer.I’d buy from this seller again as they were easy to work with.

This beautiful plum colored mother of the bride looked very sophisticated and looked like it cost way more than it did. And this was at a time when you could not find a gown anywhere with all the problems from 2020. Amazon to the rescue!

I received the dress but did NOT receive the jacket. I purchased it with the 'try before you buy' option and there is no where to write as a return reason. That is why I am giving it three stars. The dress itself is very pretty.

We bought this dress for my mom for our wedding. It fed her beautifully and it was super high-quality. She absolutely loved it. The material is high-quality, the dress is well-made, it came quickly, it was perfect for a formal black tight wedding. We were very happy with this product. It looks like high-quality and it’s a good price for what it is.

So much glitter - it just came off everywhere. Did not look like the photo - which was more elegant. This looked cheap. Returned it.

My bonus daughter is getting married and i wanted a dress that was elegant but not too flashy. This hit the mark. The fit is perfect. I may actually have the straps removed and make it strapless but otherwise I love it
