I purchased this grinder to replace a favorite one I bought probably 20 years ago that was either Swiss- or German-made (I loaned it to someone and unfortunately never got it back). Have searched in vain for its identical replacement and finally decided to buy this one. Have not yet used it but it is very well made and sturdy, with a high quality, stainless steel cutting blade and a strong suction base. I will not grind meat in it, which I'm aware is important to some buyers - sorry I can't help you there. But I will use it to make fresh cranberry-orange relish and a few other fruit and vegetable things that I believe it will be able to handle with ease. It does include an attachment to make pressed (Spritz-style) cookies, so perhaps that will have value to some people, though I have a cookie press so likely will not use that feature. So far I like it!
