BEWARE: Power Is On The Receiving End
The cable appears to be working fine but I was surprised to find that the extra power is on the receiving end of the cable. In my instance, I wanted to provide power to the cable from a recording studio control room to a recording room next to it. However, when I placed the cable backwards it would not function in the least. When I plugged it into the computer as designed the blue lights lit up on the cable. Then, I went into the recording studio area and plugged in the power adapter on the receiving end and a USB hub as well and all worked perfectly. I just find it strange that one cannot plug in the extra power for this cable next to the computer. You have to go 33 feet away and plug it in on the end of the cable. This means extra wires will be dangling and hanging around in the recording studio where they are unwanted. Perhaps in most cases this would not bother anyone but I have purchased many active USB 3 cables before and this is the first one I had to plug in to the power outlet 33 feet away from the computer. Works but strange and inconvenient for me. I give the cable 4 stars instead of 5 due to this odd design.

Weird Design
I like thay the cord is long but they put the adapter plug on on the wrong side. If I was needin' to use the camera outside the adapter power plug in is on the same side as the camera so I would have to run an extension cord outside as well

Extension works well, power supply is low quality.
The USB cable is great. Passes USB3 speeds no issues on Win/Linus/OSX. Power supply cable split at stress relief after only a few uses. LED glowing end has actually (surprisingly) been a useful feature for me.

happy with purchase
works well . tried different components with success . tried usb 2.0 and usb 3.0 ports all good . i dont know how to test the speed of the data transfer but all seems well .

Fake USB 3.0?
USB 3.0 device would not function nor be detected by the PC when plugged into the motherboards USB 3.0 slot.Once plugged into a USB 2.0 slot, the device would be detected but would not function properly due to the limitation of USB 2.0.Will change rating if rectified by the seller.
