They went together fairly easily - sometimes the Alan wrenches were a pain, but we got them put together without too much trouble. But wow, they look nice and are sturdy when done! They are very solid and the cushioning in the seats is nice and firm - which I think is good. If it was too soft I think they wouldn’t wear as well. The instructions were clear and labeled with one minor piece of putting the dowels in before connecting the seat, but caught that on the first chair so it wasn’t that big of a deal. I loved how each piece was labeled, and the side bars were labeled as was the front bar to ensure you wouldn’t mix it up. Chairs are a little stiff right from the box but we will see if they soften up after use.I love the look, the ease of construction. One of the best pieces of furniture to put together in a long time. There was no guessing if you had the right part.They’re also easy to level out too!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Great looking chairs, but… *by Q***H on Reviewed in the United States on May 26, 2022* I bought a set of two for my existing dining table as 2 of my old dining chairs are old and the seats covered are completely ripped. Let me start by saying that the chairs are very nice looking, but to put them together is a nightmare if you don’t have the power tools. I do agree with some of the reviewers that some of the holes do not line up properly which makes it extremely hard to assemble. The first chair took me over 2 hours. I don’t own a power tool and you definitely don’t need one to put these together, but it could take hours to screw each screw in and there are a lot of them for each chair. The part that frustrated me the most is to assemble the front and side stretchers of the chairs (the bars where you could rest your feet on while sitting down). I believe some of the holes were faulty. It’s hard to explain but they were not made correctly so when I screwed the screws into the legs, there were no existing holes for them to go into.
