Vintage Hoagland, with wit and heart in abundance, hunting down the way we live now, making you laugh and say ouch and yes, all all at the same time. Every poem a bull's-eye.

What can I say? Hoagland's one of the best poets we have today. And he gets better as he goes along. Not his deepest poems, but well worth reading.

Hoagland's best to date. I purchased it three hours ago and I'm on my third read. If you need to laugh at how ridiculously difficult life is, this book is the guidebook to that place.
