Happily, Cacao Butter does not contain detectable amounts of heavy metals. When cacao beans are ground into a paste and then cold pressed, the result is cacao butter and cacao powder. Yes! Our Cacao Wafers are made by milling the whole cacao bean into a paste that is then formed into wafers. It includes the solids (cacao powder) and the fats (cacao butter) in their natural ratio.
