I bought this twine to replace some twine that I purchased earlier (which was a different brand, horrible and so stinky, weak and useless that I ended up just throwing it away). I read way too many reviews this go around before buying this twine, and am very pleased that it doesn't have a funky, noxious odor, is a smaller twine thickness (2mm) like I wanted, and actually is strong for it's size. I imagine this should last me a good long while, as the spool was way larger than I had anticipated, although I knew it was 400 meters when I purchased it. This is ideal for gift wrapping, wrapping packages for shipping, as well as decor projects that call for a smaller width yet durable twine. I never gave too much thought to twine before, (until I bought some bad twine) and now I have a much greater appreciation for good, solid twine. Not all twines are alike, some are thicker with a less "sisal" feel like this one has, and some have different tones. This one suits me for my multi-use purposes nicely. I'd get it again, but no time soon, because there's a whole bunch of it in this spool.

I got this for some holiday crafts I am doing this year. So far I have used it to add a rustic touch to the presentation of the homemade candles I am giving out as gifts for Christmas. I also used it to wrap up spiced oranges for our Christmas tree.The twine does come with an odd smell for those sensitive to chemical smells. It's almost like a paint thinner/turpentine and fairly strong when near the whole ball of twine. Once I have used it on my crafts, there isn't any lingering smell in the small quantities I've needed per item, so it isn't interfering with the candle scent thows or the delicious smelling oranges, thankfully. It doesn't bother me much,but I do plan to store the remaining ball in my garage vs a craft drawer. So just keep that in mind. The twine itself seems great and was perfect for my planned uses for it.I included a pic to show how thin 2mm is, because I would have also preferred thicker, but it turned out just fine. 400m is a LOT, so I just wrapped the candle jars a few times to give it more bulk. I love the look it added...makes them seem more complete!

The string that was shipped to me is 2-ply and not 8-ply.SUITABLE FOR CRAFT ONLY.This is NOT heavy duty as in the product description: "HEAVY DUTY JUTES STRING: NOT meant for twinning big items as moving ropes , but the twisted sisal rope is very strong and durable your moving." This string is useful for craft work only but never for tying anything with even a bit of tension. It definitely is not "very strong."

I feel like I've hit the jute twine lottery or Costco supply with this amazing roll! When my son graduated this past June, we made a fabulous picture display using jute twine and small clothespins. It was a huge hit, but I had to keep buying roll after roll of twine to have enough, since the all seemed to be fairly small when I shopped Walmart, Michael's, and Hobby Lobby. When I found this roll available on Amazon for less than $10 I didn't imagine that it would be so HUGE! I'm in Pinterest heaven!! This 2mm twine is super strong and sturdy...there's no way I can break it by pulling it as hard as I can. It will be perfect for tons of craft and display projects, along with simple gift wrap finishing touches. I highly, highly recommend this fantastic deal on a huge supply of well made jute twine!

This roll of twine is huge! I was honestly surprised at how big it was when I opened the box (picture for size reference). My intentions were to use it for some art projects, which I will do, but for now I lined a wall in our house and I'm hanging our holiday cards on it. It's really sturdy and looks great! This will last me for a while, but I'll definitely order it again when I use this roll up!

I use this twine for so many things and it holds up well every time. I trust it so much that I use it to hang my beloved potted plants, heavy picture frames, and so much more. It does shed a little so you may not want to use it for clothes or fabrics, but for me it’s perfect.

I do a moderate amount of selling on Poshmark and eBay and use this to add a nice touch to my items wrapped in tissue paper with a little thank you note tag. After reading reviews about a noxious odor from other twine listings, I went with this one. Very happy that I did! Quality twine and will last a long time!

Not as strong as I hoped. Constantly snapped as I used to make bundles. Had to quadruple up before it was useful.
