The buttons snap shut, which is good - but any more than 3 bills and some change will cause it to splay open a little when shut. Just FYI. Otherwise, I'm super happy with it and I get compliments on it a lot - plus the gray color goes well with black and brown which is a win. That didn't last long. The first thing you need to know about this case is that if you have any more than 2-3 cards in there, the front compartment won't close. In fact, even empty the front compartment provides no security and just falls open. Additionally, this wallet does not fit cash. It is not wide enough, nor is it built to withstand the capacity of a few bills folded in half (once again it just keeps popping open). Does it do its job as a phone case ? So far, yes. Is it a functioning wallet?
