Tom Jones Live At Caesar's Palace

Excellent CD!!! Well done show, the recording was top notch, especially considering this was done around 1971(that means no real after the fact editing, redubing a missed cue, this is how everybody played these songs.. Study that kids of today!! Haha... ) The vocals are amazing, horn section is excellent, rhythm section is flawless!! My only suggestion would be to ask the record company to check the master tapes and see if there is any extra material that could be mixed to add bonus tracks!! P. S. It was great to hear Mr. Jones interact with the crowd.

Those were the days. Las Vegas had style and class and great entertainment. Tom Jones is without question the most powerful voice in any talent based vocal category in history. He doesn't even need a microphone his voice is so amazing.While he wasn't the charismatic entertainer Elvis was or a great balladeer like Engelbert he was the master of dramatic power singing. Just listen to his version of TILL or any of his classics where his range goes beyond where no man has ever dared to go before and you will be left baffled at how he does it. This CD showcases why Tom Jones is in a class all by himself. What he lacked in showmanship he made up in his vocals. I would have given this 3 and half stars if i could have because most of this CD is a great vocal masterpiece and it gives you a sense of what Toms shows at his peak were like but it however glazes over some of his best songs in medlies and gives too much time to Cabaret and old time rock n roll songs when Tom has so many great tunes of his own he could have done.I enjoy the CD for it's nostalgic feel of Las Vegas when it was good and Tom when his voice was at its peak if only the song selection the night this was recorded had been a little better it could have been a 5 star CD.For powerful vocals with atomic energy you can't go wrong with Tom Jones.

This cd was out of stock for months. When it arrived recently, I was so surprised. I have listened to it over and over. As usual, Sir Tom is in fine voice. His comments to the audience make you feel as if you are there. I would highly recommend this cd to Tom Jones fans and others. Sir Tom is superb!

Tom at his peak with full orchestra, not just a small band.

This is definately one to Buy! This is a great CD of his earlier years with good songs, and lively interaction with the audience with makes it extra special. I really have enjoyed it.

un album incontournable où Lord Tom Jones fait merveille avec sa voix , une orchestration admirable de Johnnie Spence, un public chaleureux, et c'était au Caesars Palace à Las Vegas en 1971, bref si vous aimez cette voix n'hésitez pas!!!!!
