Evolution3D DJI CrystalSky Mavic 2 Mount System

Product was exactly as described and arrived promptly ahead of schedule. It fits the Mavic Pro drone controller snuggly and provides a stable mount for the 5.5" CrystalSky display. It does make the controller a bit heavier, but that is to be expected with such a large display and strong mounting system. The 3D printed design thought of this and included connection points for a neck lanyard support. The mounting kit comes with two separate mounting pieces for different layouts, one above the existing controller display and one behind it to allow for multiple viewing positions (this can be seen in the sellers pictures). The seller provides detailed videos on their website to assist in attaching the mount to the Mavic Pro controller and has a limited warranty to replace any broken parts. The 3D print is surprisingly strong and I do not foresee any pieces breaking unless under inappropriate circumstances. I highly recommend this mount for anyone seeking a solution for mounting their CrystalSky display on a Mavic Pro controller.

First of all, I'm not that guy that wants to sit around writing reviews on products that I bought. not really something I'm interested in but when credit is due it is due . The product is definitely as described. I received mine super fast and I am using it on my crystalsky 7.85 monitor. I thought mounting my 7.85 crystalsky on the DJI mavic Pro Controller would have balance problems and wouldn't work as well as it does with the smaller CrystalSky monitor. This mounting hardware works very well with the 7.85! I can set it on my desk, the hood of my truck ect.. the mounting hardware supports the weight of the larger 7.85 well, feels good. Just wanted to say thanks to the manufacturer. I really wanted to use my 7.85 on my mavic pro and now I can. Just a heads up if you are purchasing this item to use the Crystal Sky 7.85 on the mavic, you will also want to get a USB C cable as the USB cable provided with the DJI mavic controller will not be long enough while using this Hardware. Watch the install video! Before you try to install this item, save yourself a lot of headaches!!Snaps on nicely but my mavic controller slides side to side a bit once it’s installed. It works as intended for my preferred setup of the cs monitor on top of the controller. I would really give it 3.5 stars. It would be perfect if they came up with an exact fit cs to mavic angled cables. I’ve tried a few and still searching. The connector comes thru and sticks out the bottom of mounting bracket an tucks under and behind the controller. The depth of the bracket attaching the actual cs monitor is a bit to deep for normal angled cable connector ends. If they could make a connector then this would be a a really good solution. All in all fairly well built.

Installation was easy after watching a minute of the youtube video.I did a quick install. I like that it fits the Mavic 2 Pro controller and the CrystalSky 7.85" monitor. You will need to use a USB to Micro USB cable to connect the remote controller to the CrystalSky.Another suggestion I can make to this product is to add a 3/8 metal thread hole to the bottom of the piece that goes under the remote controller so I can add a quick release plate and mount it on a tripod. That way I can free my hand to do something else if I need to.

I already own and use large Crystalsky 7" for a P4P. Purchased this to try with a planned mavic pro purchase knowing that the weight might be too much. Followed youtube mounting instructions...fit was just a little loose. CUSTOMER SERVICE 6+. Without question they sent me a tighter base and some suggestions until new part arrived. Snaps on tighter... Very please with quality...service and responsiveness to my issue!!!!

It is well made and one of the few current solutions out there for mounting the DJI Crystalsky monitors to the Mavic RC.This is 3D printed, but high quality for that manufacture method. Both on the upside and downside, the pressure fitted clamp is quite tight in tolerances. The front side of the Mavic remote controller is highly polished, shiny plastic (ABS?) and in order to put the clamp on requires a bit more force than I am comfortable with, knowing that DJI plastics have cracked in the past, both on drones and RC's. Taking it off is really dicey and following the instructions in the manufacturer's video on YT that wasn't really detailed. I did find a vid from Mad RC where he alternately pushed on both ends of the clamp to "walk" it off.Personally, I fear that in the long run I'll damage the remote controller. Others may have more confidence, but I'm moving on to a MavMount style which is held by the Mavic RC's own "Wings."UPDATE 9-6-2017:In reaching out to the seller regarding difficulty in removing the RC clamp, I was contacted almost immediately. He offered to refund me, but also mentioned that I may have received an earlier prototype piece by mistake. Well, I received a very quick shipment of the replacement clamp and, Eureka! It snaps on and off much easier. This now makes it a viable solution to mounting my two CS monitors on the Mavic RC. Bumping my rating up to four stars (not due to product issues, but usefulness to me). Now what DJI has waiting in the wings is their own mounting system which will directly attach the CS to the closed RC clamps of the Mavic. This solution will be ideal for me because I can keep the same style monitor mounting piece on both of my CS's and swap them between the P4P controller and the Mavic's. Quick release and minimal footprint is the way to go with small folding quads.However, thanks once again to Johnny at Evolution 3D for great customer service and standing behind his product!

I recently bought this mount and love it. The mount has tight tolerances but I was surprised how lightweight but still how strong the material is.
