I also use these other than intended. They work great for straining trub out of the post-boil wort for beer brewing. I basically finish the boil, chill, then place one of these in the fermentation bucket (5 gallons). I pour the wort through and take an awful lot of junk out of the beer before I start to ferment. They're nylon, so almost universally regarded food safe, plus the liquid is cool and in contact for about 2 minutes max. They work great for me. No drawstring, but it's easy to make do without it. Consistent quality.

I had purchased this exact same nomenclature previously and the opening was not as large which then did not fit my funnel. I went back to a smaller funnel which slowed the whole straining process down.

I built my wife a greenhouse and hydroponic dutch bucket system. She uses these filters inside her buckets as a grow media filter. These help in preventing the media from exiting the buckets through the drains and clogging the pump in the reservoir. Great quality product with a great price tag! Packaged well and arrived on time as usual

If it had a drawstring or elastic top, or some other way to close the bag, I would rate this a five. It's very good in every other way.

They work great for straining paint, but you have to put a bungee cord around the bucket to keep the bag from falling into the paint. Also work well attached to my homemade hop spyder in homebrewing.

I needed a lot of these to get my Dutch bucket system up and running and the cost of these in bulk was wonderful! They worked, though they are not the ones with the elastic, which is no problem, I just used a clothes pin until I filled the buckets with the perlite.
