Works with a variety of wired cameras
I installed the Yeskamo 8 channel NVR in my home network and paired with a variety of manufactures 1080p cameras all ONVIF compatible and some being PTZ. The unit DOES NOT come with a hard drive and stated so in the web page so you need to purchase and install it yourself. Its very easy to install. Ive used the NVr for some months now and summarized my experiences below. Just a note, I purchased this standalone NVR to replace a identical Yeskamo NVR that failed and would no longer fast forward. -- No Hard drive: YOu have to purchase and install a harddrive to record video with the NVR. It was very easy to install a compatible hard drive. the hard drive was about $50 on amazon that said it was designed for NVRs and video recording. -- Only works direct wireless to its own cameras: The Yeskamo 8 channel NVR will only work direct wirelessly to its own cameras. If you purchase the Yeskamo NVR as a package with cameras, the cameras are all conveniently pre paired. The pairing procedure works but often having to repeat the camera search until ONVIF cameras are found. The NVR finds its own cameras quickly. -- Good Quality images: With the Yeskamo cameras and multiple other manufacturers 1080P cameras the daytime images were clear with good color. The night IR images were purely a function of the camera and nothing to do with the NVR. -- Multi mfr cameras worked!: Of the 4 different manufacturer ONVIF cameras I used (Sunba and other lesser known), I was able to successfully pair and use the cameras but with PTZ limitations described below. -- Good manual: The manual is very good and helps you understand the pairing procedure but needs to be provided by Yeskamo on request. There was no disk or link to the documentation in the delivered package. -- ONVIF compatible: You can connect ONVIF compatible WiFi cameras over your own network to the NVR but only via the NVRs wired ethernet port connected to your network . Of course also wired ONVIF cameras on your network. Again I have successfully done both on my home network. On some cameras you might need to first use the manufactures software to set the IP address of the camera within range of your home router, e.g. network 192.168.0.1 -- Limited PTZ control: A poor aspect of the NVR is that not all the PTZ features shown on the Yeskamo menu function for the ONVIF cameras I tried: There was no Focus, Iris or Speed working. These features did work great when using the PTZ cameras manufacture provided software over the network but not via the NVR. The zoom and pan/tilt worked ok as well as the pointing presets and the "Tour". -- Touchy PTZ: I found the PTZ controls are very touchy. I used a mouse on the on screen graphic. Sometimes the camera would move in small increments, sometimes in large chunks and sometimes not at all. It can be difficult to fine point the camera. Occasionally the PTZ camera would go wild and spin to its max pan. -- 32x Fast forward: The NVR will provide up to 32x fast forward. I measured this and it appears to be correct. -- No Snap Shot feature: There is no image capture or snapshot available from the NVR. I found this is very inconvenient omission as I would often was to simple snap a still image of the current scene especially when viewing a recorded image. Of course there are work around using other software but it all other camera software Ive used provided this basic function. -- Good technical support: As I said I had failed NVR on an complete 6 camera system I purchased 1 year ago. The Yeskamo support was responsive but from China so it takes some back and forth over several days. They were very knowledgeable regarding the use and features of the NVR and as I said the manual was very well done. For more difficult issues, such as the failed fast forward I experienced there is a big drop off in technical insight but they were generous to offer free replacement NVR. Ultimately my failed fast forward was due to a bad hard drive. For some reason the hard drive was not something they would replace even though I was 1 year into the 3 year warranty but they did give me a free camera for my trouble which was about the same value as the hard drive I purchased. Conclusion: I good NVR system for a beginner that will pair with a variety of different manufacturer cameras. It does lack some ONVIF compatibility to provide focus and iris control and missing a snapshot feature but does provide great fidelity images and is stable once up and running.

This NVR will not work with Wifi enabled battery-operated cameras...
Their NVR is not designed to work with battery operated cameras so please beware. I bought this thinking that it was compatible with ALL of their cameras but was wrong. I will be using the app to monitor the cameras as it was designed to do.
