I like these lids for topping my canning jars after I open them. They fit on my regular mouth jars.The only thing I don't care for is that they don't create a seal. There is no rubber gasket at the rim, and so if a jar gets tipped, it might leak a bit.

Just a metal lid - no gasket. Others have a light rubber gasket bonded to the lid but these do not. I realize that these are not for canning but could be used for dry goods.
