They agree to let Nancy, her father, and Alda live if the Drews will turn their detecting skills to finding the treasure. Just to make things interesting, the ancient city is only minutes from being flooded by sea water...Nancy and her father Carson Drew will race the clock to find the treasure, and a way out of a death trap, with a little help from an unexpected ally. "City under the Basement" is the entertaining conclusion to a clever story in an exotic city, and highly recommended to the latest generation of Nancy Drew fans.
