Review: Shift knob replacement Civic 8th Gen. - Needed to replace the shift knob in my Civic. Found this one on desertcart for a good price. The real surprising thing about this knob is if you look it up on the web as to how to replace it, you would find it. Apparently, it's too simple a operation to do for it to have info on how to do it. The hint came from looking at the knob and realizing what you have to do is grab the boot dust cover by the silver ring and pull it down then unscrew the knob and then pop the boot plastic from the mount then pull the boot cover up. You'll see how the rest goes after you get it off. Fits like factory would buy another, very good quality.
