Mounting the bipod backwards could cause it to collapse when being used. **Q: After putting this on what do I do about a sling stud?** A: There is a built in sling stud on the rear portion of the bipod. **Q: will this fit my Ruger American Go Wild rifle?** A: This particular model is designed to fit onto a standard sling stud, which my Savage FV-SR came standard with.
