Italian Lessons

Great story, very well written. Reads like a video with fabulous descriptions of Italy as seen by a first time visitor.

This author's stories are like Jane Austen stories about ordinary people living ordinary lives. Since his stories are based in Rhode Island where I spent my Jr/Sr High years, I enjoy returning to scenes I remember well. He always has a unique experience that drives the story, but it is always true the to characters he creates. I hope this author hasn't given up writing because I would enjoy a new story from him.

This book may have a predictable ending, but it is worth the read. It made me want to continue to learn Italian. As unrealistic as it is at times, such as the main character's obsession with learning the difficult Italian language quickly so he could go to Italy to find a girl he met just once and knows so little about, it still holds your interest.

As other of Peter Pezzelli books, this was a great story, unlike anything I have ever read. The author's ability to paint the realities of life is great. I also like the fact that the ending is usually left to your imagination but it doesn't take a lot to know where it is going.

Quick read, very interesting story. Makes me want to go to Italy. I order used books in excellent condition and they've all been in great condition. I hate paying the price for brand new books if I don't have to.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It showed how grudges can be held for rar too long so let them go. And family is the most important thing.

I found it hard to continue reading it after only 1/3 through. I dropped the book and hopefully I will pick it up again someday.

Another charming, feel good book from Peter Pezzelli. This author really has the touch. It's not quite as good as his first book about the guy who goes back to live in Italy, but nevertheless a very enjoyable book.

If you haven't read any of Peter Pezzelli's wonderful novels, don't wait another day. They are great books, so curl up with one and enjoy!
