Seems to work well (so far). It has been installed just about a week. Just clean the surface that the device will be applied to with isoprppyl alcohol before sticking it to the dashboard (or wherever). It has a fairly wide range of movement once the phone attaches to it.I ordered a 2nd one of these for my wife's car. As far as I can remember...the 2nd one packaging looks different (as are the contents). I cleaned the dash with isopropyl acohol and let it dry before putting the attachment on the dash of her Ford Fusion. By the following day, it had already fallen off and it hadn't even been used yet. Not at all satisfied with the 2nd one and have lowered the review to 2 stars. The original one in my car is still going strong

So far so good. I've been using this for about 1.5 months. No issues. The magnet is strong enough to hold the phone while the car drives thru speed bumps, freeways, local roads, etc. Using a magnet to hold the phone, I can easily pull my phone off the magnet to do whatever I need and then easily return it back to the magnet securely. I'm pleasantly surprised with this purchase working out so well. I disliked my other phone hold which required two hands to put the phone on or off. The negative part of this product is that there are no instructions on what to do so you will have to guess. Its not difficult to guess what needs to happen. Heres my tip, the magnet is strong, but not strong enough where you can hide/stick the metal plate inside your phone case. The metal plate needs to be stuck to the outside of your phone case. So far the 3M tape has kept the metal plate stuck to my phone case and also the 3m tape has kept the holder stuck to my dash board. Was a good buy and I do recommend it to others. If it comes off, I will try to update my review and possible adjust my current 5 star rating.

Works like a charm! Came with extra's in case you want to move it. It sticks great and is so handy! WAY better then any other phone mount I've used, and I've been through a few. I do recommend not putting it too close to the air vents, when you have the air heat on, it WILL affect your phone, so will placing it in in a spot that gets a lot of sunlight. But that's nothing to do the mount itself. Just understanding how these things affect the devices and their functionality. I placed mine in an easy to reach spot and in a good space that would not get too much air or sunlight, and I have not been disappointed.

Very soild all-steel design. comes with two differnt plates for ur phone, a round one and a rectangle and also extra adhesive strips. Swivels smoothly and the magnet locks on solidly, I personally prefer using the larger rectangular plate on the back of my phone to give me more variability in positioning. This is definitley a better option than the ones that slide onto the air vent, not just in strength but also it keeps ur phone from getting hot from the heated air coming out of the vent when you mount it on the dash to the side of the vents.

I was a bit sceptical about these holders - our cars have no really flat, featureless surfaces you'd expect a glued on holder to be able to grip. It turns out, these have just the right amount of base to not only fit into the small flatter areas (close to the steering wheel) and grip the riffled surface of the dashboard well in the other car. The magnet is seriously strong - I taped the metal to the back of the cellphone cases, and it holds even through rough drives.

Installed this in my truck, I cleaned the surface well before the install then I installed it and waited 24 hours before I put a phone on it and by doing so it holds up really well. It has been used in extreme hot and cold temperatures and still works great and it is mounted right by a vent as well and has never came loose. Would buy again for another vehicle.

I ordered two of these as Christmas gifts. The description and picture showed dash board attachment not car vent attachment. When these were received, the box and directions were for car vent installation but when boxes were opened, they were dash mount without directions. Glue for dash mount was very weak. Not sure how long it will hold.While driving (on I95 not off roading), it fell off the dash, with my husband’s iPhone attached. So much for adhering to the dash for any length of time.Spend more money and get a better product.

This worked great. I had it mounted vertically next to my car radio and it stayed secure.Be aware though that if you wear hearing aids the magnet on your phone case may interfere with your ability to be heard. I didn't have a problem being heard with the iPhone 6 but I did with the iPhone 7. The magnet on the case was the culprit.
