Meh
This story was disappointing, predictable and slow-going. I don't mind stories that meander through the characters' lives, if the characters' lives are interesting. Deliah and Garrett's lives were not.Deliah's reticence is understandable - She's a single-mom who needs to put her son first, which she claims over and over. Yet, at every turn, she lets Nick spend time with Garrett and wistfully dreams about how wonderful it would be to have him as Nick's father.Garrett's reticence is never explained. He says over and over that he doesn't know what he wants, doesn't know if he'll stay, doesn't want to admit he's in love. We have no explanation as to why he is an apparent commitment-phobe.Also, I'd like to buy the author a thesaurus. The number of times she referenced Garrett's "navy gaze" and Deliah's "slick channel" was mind-numbing. I think it was made more noticeable because I listened to the audiobook, but it didn't make it any less frustrating.

GENERIC
I read this for a group on one of Amazon's forums who wanted to read books set in a believable Alaska. Since I live in Alaska I can give a local's point of view on the setting.I had a hard time getting through this one, and then reviewing it. I know this author is well-liked by the group, but I don't think this can be her best outing. I spent the whole book waiting for something interesting to happen, and when there's finally some action, it felt too little, too late, and I actually skipped a lot of it.The story, the characters, the romance, and most of all the setting, simply felt generic. She writes well and the story flows, but there's really nothing there. The two main characters hardly seem to get to know each other, or talk to each other. I did like when the heroine stands up for herself at the end and points out that he has to put his big boy pants on if he wants her to hang around, but other than that, there didn't seem to be anything really enjoyable about this book. And, once again, family and friends seemed waaay too involved in the romance--but maybe that was because the hero and heroine couldn't seem to come up with any interesting, deep and life-changing interactions between them. So, although the author got the setting right as far as she took it, there was really nothing very interesting to me in it. A very light read, that has already begun to fade from my memory.

Sweet and Swoony!
Again, I love her Swoon Series, so it was hard not to compare these to those. I fully enjoyed the book, it just wasn’t my favorite. Love At Last was the second book in Croix’s Last Frontier Lodge Series. They are interconnected but can be read as stand-alones. It was a sweet and swoony read with a touch of angst.Garrett was getting burned out from being a corporate lawyer. He decided he needed a change and hopped the next flight to Alaska. He thought the remote wilderness and pure fresh air would help get his mind back on track. But meeting Delia had the opposite effect. His world was spinning out of control and he wasn’t sure how or if he wanted to get back to normal.Delia was a single mom who had finally settled into a good routine. When Garrett stumbled into her world, he threw her completely off track. Could she learn to love again or would her past catch up to her? These two had such an amazing relationship! And Garrett’s relationship with her son, gah!! So many emotions in such a short time had me crying and swooning! I am looking forward to see what’s next!

For the most part..A Good Read, but....
This is Garrick and Delia's story in the Last Frontier Series. This is another quick read. For the most part an enjoyable read. As it's stated, all in this series is a stand alone read, and each story is about a Hamilton family member. I've found that as I've read 3 of the books back to back, some of the writing, IMO, seems to be copied/pasted, and repetitious from one story to another and some of the descriptive phrases of the characters, and the explicit sex scenes, are repeated though out the story. It becomes a disappointing waste of words to skip over, because it's already been said and read numerous times already.

Another Alaskan Love Story
I don’t know how I keep stumbling on these wonderful stories by different authors all with the State of Alaska as their setting. I thing another state has co-open the advertising phrase that They are the State for Lovers, but if the truth can be found in the threads to any bits of the last six novels I’ve read, Alaska is where you want to be to find love.In Love at Last, a young chef working at a Lodge in the Mountains thinks she is beyond the reaches of any love matches. She is too busy with her young son, her career, and her dad. All of which she love desperately, is satisfied with and feels no need for any changes. Then in walks, Garrett. Brother of the owner, a hot shot lawyer from Seattle, home for a short vacation. Times...they are a changin’!

Falling When You Least Expect It!
Dang, I love Garrett and Delia’s story!Delia isn’t interested in dating, not since she got pregnant in college. Only to find out the father didn’t care for her nor ever want his child. Now, a single mom of six yr old Nick, she isn’t ready for the feelings brought on by Garrett.Garrett is a well established corporate lawyer from Seattle, who flirts his way through women. That is, until he meets his match in Delia! He has no plans to fall for a woman, he’s just in Diamond Creek to figure out what to do with his career. What they mean to each other is confusing for them. They have serious chemistry, they burn up the sheets or anywhere else they are, but what does it all mean? Does Garrett really plan to settle in Diamond Creek, or now that he’s back in Seattle to settle his business affairs, will he change his mind?I am enjoying this series as much as all the other! I highly recommend checking all of them out!

Ok
This was a weird book for me. Weird in the sense that it was well enough written with a sort of good plot. The scenery and setting were interesting and enjoyable. The characters were mostly ok. I did feel Garrett was a bit of an idiot and Delia was ok in a way. The insta lust/love irked me a bit, a build up would have been nice. I found myself skipping parts towards the end because it was getting a bit much. A fresh edit would have been good too as there were quite a few typos throughout the book.

Delia and Garrett ..whew
Loved this one even more than the first book. Garrett was full of contradictions, one minute focused then the next dithering. Hit as hell and here can I find one like him? Delia is a single mum and great cook who runs the restaraunt at the lodge. They are a perfect couple together but Garrett takes longer to get there. Really good, loved it and now have the rest of the series to read.

Joyous
Wonderful and magical setting. Great characters. Absorbing storyline, but yet again, the same gripe. I loathe the constant use of the word ' channel' . its just... Yuk. Just as well I loved everything else about it.

Great read
This was a good contemporary romance. You wanted Garrett and Delia to get past their fears and make a life together. The town in Alaska sounds so picturesque as well. I would recommend this to all people that like romances and I would defiantly be reading her other books.

Nice read
Garrett is a wealthy lawyer who takes a trip to Alaska and his brothers hotel. He meets Delia and is instantly drawn to her. He's never been in a long term relationship and he makes mistakes with her.
