I would love it if someone could contact me and let me ...
This book is written for people who are very familiar with Adobe Photoshop or Sketch, which I am not. I have taken care and time with other references that I have needed to look at to even get to page 34 and now am TOTALLY lost. I have NO idea where to get the art board mentioned on page 34 of this book. I feel that the book may be missing some simpler instructions - did they miss a few pages of explanation out? I would love it if someone could contact me and let me know where I can get a full set of downloadable files that I need to use with this book. I'm very disappointed with this book as I'm stuck at page 34 of 153 pages AND I am a very competent computer user! :(

A teaching manual for Adobe XD User Interface design tool.
This is a book for beginners with Adobe XD, a new website prototyping tool from Adobe. Like many other books from Sitepoint, it assumes the reader is a neophyte in whatever subject is being addressed, which is very helpful in subjects like SQL and CSS. This book consists of a series of step-by-step tutorials in using different features in Adobe XD. Much (too much, in my opinion) of the book is devoted to comparing XD with the Mac-only Sketch program. Author Daniel Schwarz’s is clear, but a bit on the tedious side. My first impression, in fact, was that the book took too slow an approach. After a bit, though, I can see the wisdom of this approach: XD is new track for Adobe and it differs in many, many ways from the interface and behaviors experienced Adobe product users have become accustomed to. In the final analysis, Schwarz does demonstrate how to design a User Interface (UX) using Adobe XD. He does familiarize the new XD user with many, if not most or all, of the XD tools and provides do-it-yourself examples of the techniques as well. Overall, not only did I gain an understanding of Adobe’s XD tool, which I was not familiar with before, but I also learned how to use it in a painless way. If you’re a beginner with Adobe XD, as I am, this is a good introduction.Jerry

Excellent way to start with Adobe Experience Design CC
A good starting point for Adobe Experience Design CC. This is well written, clear and direct. Perhaps slightly dry, but humor isnt for every book (I accept thats a slightly unfair commentary. I learn best with humor, and I know that. The fact that this book is lacking in that department should not be seen as a negative comment on this book. Its a very good book).I like that there are screen shots - with clear arrows, many tech books miss out here. Color arrows can make a photo many times better.I dont like that the screen shots are all Apple - however, I can see that the same argument could be reversed if they were all Windows. Not being Windows based, for us Windows users, doesnt really matter. But it just looks wrong!I do like the detailed coverage of keyboard short cuts. Thats awesome - these are vital! I dont know any in my industry who dont use keyboard short cuts.I like all the best practice information. Good to know and learn from the first lessonI like that the one plan is followed throughout the book. Makes "seeing" the product easier.A great place to start in your road to UI development

Definitely a jump starter book
It has been awhile since I worked extensively in anything Adobe, with the exception of Adobe Acrobat Pro and a bit of dabbling with InDesign so I could fix old PageMaker forms. It was with that in mind that I selected Daniel Schwartz's "Jump Start Adobe XD."I really like how Schwarz actually uses the book as a 'jump start' and walks through the basics without getting overly detailed. Again, this is a jump starter book so my expectations weren't that it would have every single thing that needs to be explained, but rather, it is to have a starting point and in that sense, it worked for me. It was simple in its layout and didn't have a lot of clutter. It is definitely meant for people who have some familiarity with Adobe applications and with that in mind, it is nice reference book as a jump start for this application.

Jump Start Adobe XD
Jump Start Adobe XD.This was perfect for someone like me with little to no experience with Adobe XP,It walks you through with clear basic step by step directions.I prefer having a book to flip through as needed instead of finding the same information online. So for me this is a good book to have on hand. Rather quick to get through. Now this might be too basic for someone with some experience already and was hoping for more tricks and tips.

Clear, very basic instruction for the complete beginner
If you are completely new to Adobe XD and want clear instructions that aren’t mixed up with more advanced stuff that you don’t want to mess with right away, then this is your book.True, you can find this info online, but if you want a actual paper book, this is a good one for that purpose. You will be paying for it, as this seems overpriced to me, given that there isn’t a lot of information in these 150ish pages.Lots of pictures, which is very helpful.Overall, a very usable, understandable book for beginners.

Helpful Introduction!
Adobe XD is a tool for UX design and prototyping. Like all Adobe tools, with power comes a learning curve. This book was helpful to get started, but XD keeps evolving and updating. This can help you get going and fill in some blanks, but it might take additional work to be proficient.
