My first impression, peeking inside the box, was that the RC Owl Plus package is very generous. Besides the orange camera and its lens cap I found inside the box the following: back cover, base bracket, hanging bracket, screws, OSD cable, 3 wire FPV cable, AV-out & power cable, user manual and warranty card.Instead of the usual RunCam logo, on the top of this camera there is a cool owl face.On the backside of the tiny camera there are two small connectors. Through the two-pin plug (OSD and GND) can be connected the included OSD cable which allows to configure and fine tune the Owl Plus camera. You can play with the settings without any worry because you can revert to the factory default any time.The second, 3-pin plug (VCC, GND and Video out) severs to power the camera and connect a TX module, DVR or directly a display (CRT/LCD).The camera performs pretty well, Its truly remarkable to be able to flyin near total dark, not e even kidding, and still have a very detailed image.Thanks to the 150° lens (2.4 mm), the RunCam Owl Plus has a wide field of view and is also able to gather a great deal of light for the night excursions. And that's where this little specialty gem shines. At night, I would say it's the best at what it does given the price range. It does ,however, struggle a bit providing at mid day. The huge (1/2") half inch photo cell it uses to collect the light for processing can get, what seems to me, "over whelmed" in intense light. You can improve this problem dramatically by fine tuning the settings via the powerful built in OSD.So Yay,nay, or maybe on this one, definitely a "yay" scoring an 8/10 on the bat scale. It has a specialty and it does it well. Would i recommend this to other pilots as an all around camera. No. It can be made to be acceptable during the day, but I'd say let it shine at night. Especially with winter, and short days upon us. This camera is great to have. It does do well on muggy over castDays, and dreary winter afternoons it brings the FPV. Definitely, id say buy yourself one. They're great to have.

If you want night time flying i havent used a better camera. This little thing absolutely impressed me. I have been running my dusk flights with a runcam eagle. This has been prettu good and i didnt expect the oel to honestly be that much better. Boy was i wrong!! Before buying this camera i would not ever fly in night conditions as i never really felt confident that the RC Eagle could perform consistently. But niw with this camera hello twilight hours!!! I do however nees to mention that you really should think about when you will be flying. If you fly primarily at day and only occassionally at night go with an Eagle or a swift 2 but if you primarily fly at dawn/dusk/night get this awesome little camera!

 This camera is awesome in low light/ near dark conditions. It is a little saturated - color wise - in the light, but I kind of like the over colored, "Wizard of Oz" kind of look to it. I have flown this in a completely dark parking lot with only a single sodium light on the corner of the building for illumination. It was outstanding fun. It was dark enough that when I landed my quad, my wife had to shine her phone light on it to see where it was.

Needed a low light fpv camera for a robot project. This was perfect. Easy to install and set up. I liked it so much that I also purchased a runcam micro sparrow for a micro quad. Now I'm eyeballing a micro eagle.

Loved this camera! I ended up breaking it doing some unorthodox mounting with too long of screws, but until then it survived 3 frames breaking and had great performance in all types of lighting.

Appears the company is attempting to make things right. Will update this review again in 10 days.

Amazing video quality, not very tough

Great camera and fast shipping and the fact it came with a free led was a plus i will deffinetly buy more of these in the future
