Smart No Touch Car Phone Mount Stand, Universal Air Vent Phone Holder for iPhone 7/7 Plus / 6 / 6s Plus, SE, Samsung Galaxy S6 / S7 / S7 Edge/Note 6/7 and Other Smartphones

This phone holder is smartly designed with a spring clamp which holds the holder securely to the vent. The holder mechanism closes on the phone when it is dropped into the holder. The only problem is that the instructions limit the phone & case thickness to 11mm or 0.433 inches. My S7 with a simple case is about 1/2 inches thick & therefore the holder will not open & close easily. It works great when the case is removed. Unfortunately, the thickness limitation is not made clear in the listing or in answers by the seller which is the reason I gave 3 stars.

This is a well made device but it only works in specific situations. Because there is no gimbal/joint between the clip and the holder, your phone will be at the same angle as your vent. If this works for you, great. Otherwise, look elsewhere...

For intended purpose totally great, just is difficult to get the clamp on parts of my car.I have a Ford Fiesta and idk if my vents are wide?? Or what, but it falls often and clearly instead of being parallel it kinda clamps open V, meaning not as secure.It fit my iPhone X and now my iPhone Max Pro. Does not fit them with a bulky case though.

Overall, this is a good quality product and I'm glad that I have it in my car. A couple of cons would be that it blocks my air vent (obviously) and the mount and my phone get very cold when my AC is on. Also, since my phone weighs it down, the mount is tilted downwards slightly, but it isn't too big of a problem. I definitely like having this mount in my car especially when I'm using my GPS on my phone to get somewhere I've never been. It's also just a nice place to stick my phone and let it charge or play music while I'm busy driving.

This mount is very poorly put together. If you have a rubbery case on your phone it is hard to take out. I used it for about 10 minutes in the car and could not get it adjusted because there are no adjustments. It just hangs where you put it and you cannot tilt. Needless to say it is now in the garbage.

This is a cool gadget. It works great for my phone and probably fits many other size phones. It works with gravity and holds my phone securely. Easy to install, can use while charging phone, easy to grab your phone when you get out of the car. Yea!

I’ve got an iPhone SE in a typical case and it would not fit. That’s because the arms on the side are bent in beyond 90 degrees. Despite working carefully with pliers to take the bend back to 90 degrees, the soft aluminum distorted enough that the geared mechanism stopped working. Because everything snaps together rather than being assembled with screws, trying to take it apart was a waste of time. It’s in the trash in pieces.

Doesn't quite fit my phone while in the protective case. Then the grip to hold it to the air vent doesn't hold firm. We've taken to making sure our phones are plugged into the car chargers to make picking the phone up off the floor easier. Especially while one of us is driving.
