Zen Principle vs. Naked Rice...
Sorry ahead of time, this is a lengthy review to help out the people who do not know which brown rice protein to choose. I am sensitive to numerous foods (including whey & pea protein amongst many others), have ulcerative colitis, and love food that tastes great. All this leaves me semi dependent on having a protein shake in the first half of the day to get the amount of protein I need. In my search for plain/ naked plant based protein, brown rice & pumpkin seed protein both have agreed with my body & taste buds!I have tried three organic brown rice proteins, this one, Zen Principle, Naked Nutrition, & Swansonās. Zen Principle is my top pick hands down. It has the most neutral taste of the three which is super important to me. While I was having the worst UC flare, as well as at another point on an elimination diet, I had to have my shakes without added cocoa or fruit. You do not want to make tough times worse then they already are with a bad taste in your mouth! Naked Nutrition has a similar base taste, but is a bit more bitter (?) making it come in second place. And I have to say, Swansonās was disgusting & I dropped it out of the race!Zen Principleās B.R. protein also blends the best in my shakes (with a shaker bottle) with barely any grit. Naked Nutrition does have a slight grit, but not enough that would deter me from drinking it.From a nutritional & amino acid profile standpoint, they are almost identical. N.N. uses organic sprouted brown rice which will give you a tiny amount of calcium, iron, phosphorus, & magnesium. But to me a multivitamin covers this lack in Z.Pās protein. And to who it matters, Z.P. has 26g protein & 2.37g total carbs in 30g of protein, while N.Nās has 25g & 4g respectively in 30g of protein. And lastly, they are both dairy, gluten, & soy free (N.N. clarifies certified gluten free). N.N. also has a independent third party test for heavy metals where Z.P. has it done in-house. Zen Principle is also the least expensive by the ounce ($0.79/oz), and is only sold in a 3 lb bottle. Naked Nutrition is a bit more pricey probably due to using sprouted rice & having third party labs test their products; $1.37/oz for a 1 lb bottle & $0.94/oz for a huge 5lb bottle. At the end of the day, taste, texture, & price help make Zen Principleās Organic Brown Rice Protein the winner for me!*** Update 4/7/21 - For the first time since 2018-ish, ZPās Brown Rice Protein (Lot # 20200515, Exp 10/32/22) tastes & smells like it has slightly gone bad. I will attempt to see what ZP has to say about it.

Excellent source of vegan protein
The is a great source of protein for my vegan food plan. I have hypoglycemia and have to eat every 2 hours. I mix a tablespoon into 2 oz coconut water for a quick pick-me-up while I'm getting my food ready. It's great for keeping my blood sugar stable. It mixes in, dissolves very quickly. It settles our of the liquid pretty quickly, but when shaken it mixes in right away. The taste is so-so, but in the coconut water it's not so bad. It's a pure source of protein with all the essential amino acids, so it's perfect for my needs.

Amazing Brown rice protein! Easy on the tummy! š
I just wanted to thank you guys for being in business and to have such an amazing product! I'm lactose intolerant and I have IBS so finding a good effective protein powder has been really challenging. I've gone through a lot of Brand's and other types of dairy and wheat free proteins powders and to this day I have failed to find the right one. But, I think I've found a Golden Nugget! The powder is really fine and easy to mix with lactose free milk and some fruit if you like. The taste is amazing compared to other brown rice brands without the over use of sodium! I just had it with milk and a teaspoon of sugar and it didn't tasted bad all!It will be amazing if it came with some flavors like strawberry or vanilla. I think that'll be a hit!If you are looking for something lactose free without wheat this is it guys!

What happened?? It tastes terrible now!
According to Amazon, I have purchased this product 13 times. The first 11 times were fantastic, of course, or I wouldn't have continued to buy it. For those who like unflavored brown rice protein powder (it's not whey powder, and you can't expect it to taste like it is), this was an excellent choice. Until my last two orders, which both came from the same batch (Lot20200515) and were just delivered in November 2020. Others have written about their orders being rancid and I have to think that's what happened here as well. The flavor is awful. Inedible.I am not clear about how to contact the company to complain. I submitted "seller feedback" and received no response, and I can't exactly return an opened food product in good conscience. I'm super disappointed, money wasted, and off to find a replacement brand!Edit (a month later): I was able to reach Amazon customer service and receive a refund for the two bad batches. The company contacted me and said they were not to blame for how the product may have been stored in the warehouse. I ordered the brown rice protein powder from NutriBiotic instead and it was great.
