Lonely Planet Pacific Northwest's Best Trips (Trips Regional)

I am so pleased with this book! It's layout is very simple and easy to follow. Trips are laid out with sights of interest and approximate time to explore each.There are recommendations for restaurants and sleeping options - including contact information for each so that it is a breeze to make arrangements. My husband and I are newly retired and are looking forward to exploring some new places in our beloved Pacific Northwest! This is a wonderful resource for locals as well as those who are newer to our beautiful region.

Liked the suggested loops, and that it includes plenty of photos and recommendations for food, beverage, and activities. Just what we were looking for.

Interesting to see sites listed by drives / routes rather than by state or town. Highlighted several areas overlooked in other guides. We will be using this in support of rather than replacing a conventional guide book, and for that it is excellent.

Any trip we take, I always buy a Lonely Planet book. Has essential information, well written.

Perfect guide for a road trip in the pacific northwest! Not good if you are planning to stay in the city. It includes many classic trips, but you can adjust them and plan your perfect road trip! Highly raccommended, better than the classical lonely planet

Mein 1. Versuch mit einem Reiseführer in Englisch und bin sofort begeistert, da man hier sehr gute Routen mit allen Highlights finden kann, die sich aber auf eine bestimmte Region beschränken. Einziges Manko: Die Städte Seattle und Portland hätte man etwas ausführlicher behandeln können. Deshalb 1 Stern Abzug.

Some good pointers here for the first time visitor to the Pacific Northwest, but it's pretty much going to get you onto the tourist trail along with everyone else.I highly recommend speaking to locals whenever possible and finding some gems that way - it usually means fewer fellow tourists and lower prices.
