Works really well, for my purpose . . .
GREAT product, really works, & it's much less expensive than a 'red lens' flashlight for amateur astronomy. I used 3 layers, of about .8"/20mm, for some 9 LED pocket flashlights I already have. So, now I have a really good 'red lens'/night vision flashlight, for about $12, US. Now, understand, I've used only a corner from this 100" sq sheet, so I could 'convert' quite a number of flashlights to night vision lights, as needed. So, I think this was a good investment for the purpose, & I really like the results.

A little crinkled
Arrived moderately crinkled. Probably because the sheet was placed into a plastic zip lock bag that was slightly too narrow to fit the 10"x10" filter. Still worked for my needs. This is truly a red filter; no other colors transmit through it.

Red is Red
I was very happy with this filter. I used it at Halloween to put in our outside lights to give them a more spooky look. It worked great and came out a true red. The filters I had bought in the past claimed to be red but turned a pink color with really heavy light. They came nicely packaged.

Satisfactory
Filter came crumbled even with the huge box it came with. Filter allows too little light through for my purpose but it is no fault of seller.

PERFECT. I am cutting them to go over outdoor ...
PERFECT. I am cutting them to go over outdoor "under eave" lighting for Christmas. They look awesome and the flood lights don't heat up the gel since it's cold outside. I was also told by a lighting person that if your bulbs are "spots" instead of "floods" the light could tend to burn a hold in the center, since the light is so focus in one place. I checked and mine were floods.

It's deep red!
Makes an excellent night filter for kindles. This way I can read astronomy books at night without ruining anyone's night vision, though you'll probably want to turn up the brightness if you plan to do reverse (red-on-black) video.

Worked Great
While these filters are really for photographic needs, I used them on our spotlights that illuminate our Royal Palm trees. They worked like a charm over the Christmas holidays giving us color on the palms rather than just white light.

use for night reading on ipad or phone
This gel is very good at blocking blue light, and I've found that it works well on capacitive touch screens for night reading (the touch screen works through the gel). Research has shown that blue light affects our circadian rhythms, so using this filter may make nighttime reading on electronic devices less disruptive to your sleep.
