## Description

Review: Great price for an amazing meter - So a little background about myself, I am a master licensed electrician and have been in the trade for 25 years. As you can imagine I use a lot of different tools and several different meters. I have testing meters worth $1000+. I must say that this meter met and exceeded my expectations! Other than data logging, this meter has it all! I can use this meter instead of my $1000 meters 90% of the time. I highly recommend this to anyone. I would also recommend purchasing a meter pouch or carry bag though 😁
Review: Okay for the Price - The meter is well-equipped for a wide range of measurements, including some that I find odd on a multi-meter. I've never once had my hands in an electric panel and at the same time wondered what the water temperature was. But too many is better than not enough, so high marks for the range of measurements. I tested this against another meter that cost a little over double of this one. The readings were not identical, but certainly within an acceptable range. The one thing this meter has that the other one doesn't is a non contact voltage sensor. It's handy to see if a wire is live just by putting the end of the meter near the wire. When it detects voltage, it beeps and the green lights activate, which turn up to red as it gets closer to the wire. However, I have a stand-alone non contact voltage sensor, and it's much quicker to detect live wires. For example, I can waive it over a light switch to see if the circuit is live, and it will beep. It works the same for a plug. The one built into this meter does a fine job when you can actually get to the wire, but waiving it in front of a switch doesn't work. Even touching again a live plug barely works. It's a nice touch to add it, especially if you have direct access to the wire itself, but it's not as sensitive as a stand alone sensor. I have two major issues with the meter, which is why I took off two stars. The first problem is the probes. They work fine if you're testing a battery or using it to check for continuity, but most of what I do with these meters requires me to stab outlets. The tips on the probes absolutely forbid testing an outlet. In fact, when running the tests, I used the probes from another meter because I couldn't make use of these probes with the approximately 1/8" metal tip that quickly transfers to wide plastic. To me, it makes this meter a non-starter. To be clear, many other meters I've checked out since I got this one have the same probes. They're not uncommon, they just don't work for me. The other issue is that it's not auto-ranging. More sophisticated meters that can run all the same tests have vastly less positions to worry about on the dial. I can live without auto-range, but for a meter that offers this many functions, it seems like it would be automatically included. All in all, for the price, it's a good meter that returns test results virtually the same as a meter worth over twice as much. Yet with those probes, I would pass. If you can work with the included probes, I think you'll find it can run just about every test you want to run (and some you don't). UPDATE: The seller sent me a picture, which I attached to this review, that shows the plastic tips that I hated so much can be removed. This wasn't shown in the instruction booklet. I tried removing the tips originally, but I was concentrating on the wrong area. Note that this meter also comes with clips that attach to the probes AFTER the plastic caps are removed, making them useful on occasion. I've changed from three to four stars now that I know they can be removed (and are currently sitting in my trash).

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great multimeter
*by J***S on August 6, 2022*

After years of using cheap, disposable multimeters and borrowing my father-in-law’s fluke, I needed to get a nice one of my own. I’ve been really impressed with the build quality and how easy this one is to use. Directions were also very nice and learned some stuff about various functions that I hadn’t used before.
