intelliBASE Deluxe Black Metal Platform Full Sized Bed Frame with Wooden Slats

We got this to build an elevated bed for daughter in her college apartment. Not a true loft bed, but elevated off the floor about 27 inches. We were going to go old school & use 2 x 4 lumber, but that was going to run about $150, take a lot of effort, and not look as good as I would want it to if it was my bed. So- we decided to look online & see what we could find in a full size bed frame and adjust it to our needs. I had my eye on 3 different products. One of the issues is we need no legs in the middle of it, along the side. Most products had 6 - 7 legs, which means she could not put her dresser & storage bins under it.. A basic frame would need slats. She does not intend to use box springs, so we need 10 - 12 slats. If slats do not come with it, we'd fork out another $40 for those... So- we found this guy - only four stout legs, on on each corner, and it comes with wood slats. In reviewing the pictures in detail we determined we could mount this to a 2x4 or 4x4 at each leg. Reviews looked favorable so we went with it. Product arrived in 2 days, as advertised. Packing was intact. Upon opening it it was clear that it was in good shape. The manufacturer has done a great job figuring out how to package it for distance shipping & not getting it all destroyed in the process. Excellent job! (We have had some issues with that is the past with other products). We have inspected it, & all is well. Our plan to attach 2x4s to make longer legs & looks like it will work. I'm happy! I'll update with photos & final assessment when we get that done.We were successful in getting the bed revised to meet daughter's need. Ended up tenoning the 2x4s & put them into the hollow legs. We're pretty pleased with it.

At 38 weeks pregnant, I was able to successfully put this bed frame together alone and with very little effort. The only required tool, an allen wrench/hex key, came included in the box. The instructions were very clear and I had this entire frame put together in a matter of about fifteen minutes. This frame was purchased to use as a guest bed with the "Zinus Sleep Master Ultima Comfort Memory Foam 6 Inch Mattress, Full" (also from Amazon). With the mattress on top, this bed is delightful! I have taken many naps on it since putting it together.A benefit to this particular style of frame is that it is tall enough to easily store things underneath, which was of importance to me as this guest bed occupies space in my home office. This is a great basic bed frame, it does not make any audible noises nor does it shift around when one lays on it. The wood slats are sturdy enough to safely hold the mattress in place, however I would not recommend anyone jump on this bed as the slats would likely crack. The weight limit for this frame is 500 pounds, so keep that in mind when making your purchase.Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase!

I received the bed and when I opened it, some of the zip ties were broken. When I was putting it together, one side didn't fit correctly in order to put the screws in I only got the screws in half was=y and because it was an Allen wrench you had to use, I was unable to get the screws in all the way. The screws stripped on the head and the Allen wrench just spun around. tried to use a pair of pliers and was still unable to tighten the screw. So now I have now side of the bed that is loose and unable to even take it apart. I bought this bed because of the reviews and I am disappointed that I am stuck with a bed that I cannot even take apart to return it.

I’ve had this frame for a few months now. At first it was cool, you can fit a bunch under it.BUT LIKE AFTER A MONTH, THINGS GOT NOISY. Like if you fart the wrong way this dang thing will squeak. Good luck getting up to go to the b-room with out freakin alerting your roommates. Haven’t really done any adult night time activities on this, AND I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND IT. That would just prob sound like the beginning of Some Cut by Trillville.After a few weeks of just trying to ignore it, I had to basically dump WD-40 all over it. Which did help (For now) 🤷🏻‍♀️Now the main issue is this thing sliding all over the hardwood floors.So, nah don’t buy. Spend more money on something better.K. Tybg.

It took my 9 year old and I longer to unpackage everything than it did to put it together. I am SUPER impressed with the construction of this thing. We have a full and it fits our twin (foam) mattress under it JUST BARELY. All the screw holes matched up perfectly and we didn't need to grab any extra tools. Took two tries to get the slats in just the right place. Overall, this is exactly what we wanted.

My daughter has a slat bed and the slats were failing badly. Tried fixing the slats that didn't work, spent $100 for wood. This was cheaper and worked, we still have the same bed got rid of the slats and this fit within the bed frame with confidence it won't break.

I was worried when the box arrived damaged with broken zip ties, but this frame was easy to put together and sturdy. I have tried with and without a box spring and both are very comfortable. Overall, this is an asthetically pleasing frame that has yet to squeak.
