Q: I would like to use rpi 4b and rpi 3b+ in this enclosure. why is the rpi 3b+ not compatible? could i use a 3b+ if i do not use the ssd connection?

Because the placement of USB port between rpi 4b and rpi 3b+ is a little different, then the USB adapter can't be compatible with rpi 3b+ when using the ssd connection. If you do not use the SSD connection, rpi 3b+ will work on this rack.

Q: When will the next revision of the design with 40mm fan ports for cooling be available?

We have two versions of pi rack pro in stock, with and without 40mm fan holes. Don't worry, if you receive one without the fan port, you can contact us to replace the base with a new version.
