Culwell PC3 Floor Protecting Toilet Flange, 3"

A very clever solution to many problems. I had a leak that required removal of the flange but the coupling remained imbedded in the wood floor with no access below.The standard flanges from the plumbing supply houses could not work because of the lip below the flange. It was either raised toilet (ugly) or demo and replacement of floor.This nifty flange did the job and is designed so that the floor leaks can't happen again. Well made and versatile.Rating A++!

This item says it will work on a retrofit but it’s designed to sit on the subfloor and have finish floor put up to it. If you mount this directly to the finished floor, like it says you can. The toilet will not sit on the floor and hence will not work. Only for new Construction and mount to subfloor.

Worked great for my application, replaced old cheap flange. Easy to install after you get the old flange off, the only bad thing I can say about it is it’s a little expensive, but, you get what you pay for.

This reduced the 3” pipe to about 2 3/4”. The toilet got backed up so often it was unusable so I removed this and went back to a standard attachment set up.
