This is a major improvement over the dime-a-dozen friction arms you find here on Amazon. I needed something that I could clamp to my Zhiyun Crane dual grip bar to hold a Ninja Flame monitor/recorder. The dime-a-dozen variety couldn't hold it in strongly enough and would flop all over the place. I was trying to find something between the cheap crap and the ridiculously expensive Monfrotto versions (which are awesome but just way too expensive).This unit had a price easy to swallow and looked nothing like the other ones so I decided to give it a try. So far it works great. It has no problem holding my monitor even with two big batteries plugged into it. My one complaint is that the grip doesn't have any rubber feat on it, it's just hard plastic. It doesn't have enough grip to hold on securely. This is easily solvable with one of my favorite tools: old bicycle tubes! Still, it really should have had rubber grip to begin with.Overall this will be sufficient for my needs so I'm happy with it.

As usual, cheaply made Chinese product that simply fails to perform as described.It will not grip or support the weight of a consumer handheld camcorder.Also package arrived damaged, looks like a used item.

Problem with previous order quickly resolved. Product seems to be of high quality.
