Manure forks slide under plants because of the curved tines, and the long handle gives leverage. Most manure forks can't take the strain of digging (not designed for digging), but this one can take the abuse longer with the tough construction. I am VERY HAPPY WITH THIS FORK! With the shipping, it was $80.00, but well worth it to save my back and time digging. It takes half the time as the same job as a shovel. I don't understand why garden forks are not designed like this fork. I wish I had bought this fork years ago! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Handle kinked in short time from heavy use. The fork appeared to be robust and well made but pipe for handle bent. Tabor listened to me, understood me and my demands on a digging fork, and replaced without any hassle with a superior heavy duty fork. This fork is outstanding for general gardening and material handling (manure, straw, etc). For heavy duty digging order the heavier fork designed for that level of use.
