Here's a breakdown of my experience with this product. Key Highlights: Strong Adhesive Backing The adhesive is robust, adhering well to various backing pads without peeling or shifting mid-use. This is a big plus, as some sanding discs can lose stickiness over time, but these stay firmly in place. Durability and Lifespan These discs are made with durable aluminum oxide, which stands up well to wear and tear, even during prolonged sanding sessions. The discs hold their grit longer than some other brands I've tried, making them a good choice for bulk sanding jobs on wood, metal, and even paint. Smooth and Even Sanding The 80-grit provides just the right level of roughness for medium sanding tasks, delivering a smooth and consistent finish. It effectively removes surface material without excessive clogging, which is often an issue with some lower-quality options. Affordability Considering the quality, these sanding discs offer good value for the money. You get a decent number of discs in a pack, which stretches your dollar further if you’re tackling a big project. Potential Downsides: Not Ideal for Very Fine Finishing While the 80-grit discs do a fantastic job at intermediate sanding tasks, you may want to follow up with a finer grit if you’re working on projects that need a silky-smooth finish. Final Verdict: The POWERTEC 110290 80 Grit Aluminum Oxide Sanding Discs offer reliable performance for intermediate sanding tasks, with a strong adhesive and durable grit that ensures a smooth finish. Whether you’re a DIYer or a professional, these discs are a worthy addition to your sanding toolkit. Review: Perfect Fit - I needed a sanding disc for my disk/belt sander Ryobi bench tool. These discs are great. They are the perfect size and do a great job of grinding away unwanted material. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0177EQT60 | | Best Sellers Rank | #253,509 in Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Home Improvement ) #401 in Sanding Paper | | Brand | POWERTEC | | Brand Name | POWERTEC | | Compatible Material | metal | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 497 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00736815007124 | | Grit Material | Aluminium Oxide | | Grit Material Type | Aluminium Oxide | | Grit Number | 80 | | Grit Type | Medium | | Industry Standard Identifier | 110290 | | Item Diameter | 6 Inches | | Item Dimensions | 15.2 x 15.2 x 0.8 Centimeters | | Item Dimensions L x W | 15.2L x 15.2W Centimeters | | Item Weight | 4 Ounces | | Manufacturer | Southern Technology LLC | | Material Type | Aluminum Oxide | | Model Number | 110290 | | Number of Items | 10 | | Part Number | 110290 | | Product Dimensions | 15.2L x 15.2W Centimeters | | UPC | 736815007124 | | Unit Count | 10.0 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** POWERTEC - **Grit Material:** Aluminium Oxide - **Grit Number:** 80 - **Grit Type:** Medium - **Product Dimensions:** 15.2L x 15.2W Centimeters ## Images ![POWERTEC 110290 80 Grit Aluminum Oxide Sanding Disk (10 Pack), 6" - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71c5boTjWhL.jpg) ![POWERTEC 110290 80 Grit Aluminum Oxide Sanding Disk (10 Pack), 6" - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/611ufJ7DPIL.jpg) ![POWERTEC 110290 80 Grit Aluminum Oxide Sanding Disk (10 Pack), 6" - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61QNgv6fEUL.jpg) ![POWERTEC 110290 80 Grit Aluminum Oxide Sanding Disk (10 Pack), 6" - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71qKD5zkT6L.jpg) ![POWERTEC 110290 80 Grit Aluminum Oxide Sanding Disk (10 Pack), 6" - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/716AU3Nz37L.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value and perfomance is decent *by A***N on 1 November 2024* The POWERTEC 110290 80 Grit Aluminum Oxide Sanding Discs are a solid choice for anyone in need of reliable sanding discs for medium-grit applications.
