Son of a Gun it worked!!!!
I have gone through 4 different UHD 2.2 to 1.4 protocol converters. All did not work... screen would freeze the screen. I have an old Seiki 55 UHD flatscreen ( about 8 years old). This first time I.could watch the way I bought this TV. Recommend that you try this unit if you have same issues. Good luck!!! Plus mine came with US type plug.

Comes with Euro power adapter, not US as shown in pictures.
Why not put in description power adapter is Euro as opposed to US adapter in pictures. Electronically works fine, but had to buy adapter and new power strip to accommodate size of adapter.

Works for my Vizio smart tv because my tv outputs hdcp 1
Works for my Vizio smart tv because my tv outputs hdcp 1.4 but I didn't want to buy a new tv so I bought this just to try it and as long as your tv supports 4k and 30-60 hertz FPS then your good to go. But it also supports HDR too
