Another surprising device that does what it purports to. It takes a bit of practice to get the peel removal right (or maybe just smaller oranges would help) but this does the scoring of the peel easily without fear of slicing your fingers and it removes the peel without ripping into the orange. It will easily get the removal of the peel started even if the orange is larger than normal. I used mine on Cara Cara oranges which are a bit larger than normal oranges so it made the peel removal a bit tougher as it got down to the "larger than the hole provided" part of the orange, but until that point, it worked perfectly. Not really the fault of the peeler but the size of the orange. I didn't know these existed till the day I ordered this and it really can save a mess with orange-type peeling. I've misplaced 2 but it's worth it to have 1 on hand. I put a hanging strap on this one - I love this tool. It really works.

Excellent orange peeler. If you find the small peelers hard to use and want something larger and sturdier, this may work very well for you. I find it easy to hold and use. It has a good, solid feel to it and works very well on larger fruit.

This works well for most oranges. It is easy to slip and cut your finger with the sharp barb in the front for cutting through the orange rind. I also had to use a fair amount of pressure to push the rind skin through the loop for peeling.

This is overpriced that is foremost. When leaving a review the rate features are 3 durability,easy to use, and easy to clean. As far as durability it will hold up and easy to use it works but the hook and the scoring feature needs to be more pronounced . Easy to clean was the last feature to rate and it is plastic so how hard is it to clean. So overall it is 3 stars and the simple fact is that the crochet type hooks work better or just as well.

I suffer from inflammatory arthritis and this little plastic peeler serves me very well dealing with citrus fruits. My fingers hurt far less using it vs using a knife or just my hands. Also, this peeler allows you not to touch any part of the rind if you don't want to. None of the other peelers I've seen do this. A great example of a simple design getting the job done!

I love this peeler! I have arthritis in my hands and this little peeler has made peeling oranges so easy for me. It has a sharp point so I can score the rind and expose a portion of the flesh. Once that is complete, I am able to use another section of the tool to easily peel away the rind piece by piece. It is a really great tool. It is made of plastic, so I am comfortable letting my young child use it as well. My only regret is not finding it sooner.

Doesn't work as described

I found the tool to be very awkward to use. The point is very sharp and because of the awkwardness I was nicked all three times I tried to use it. Then after successfully scoring the oranges I was unable to peel them using the tool. I wasn’t willing to risk further injury to try again.

It may only be plastic but it works like a charm. I had a stainless steel one, and it was useless.
