The box tray is double layered & air insulated, so it can keep the food cool for a little bit. But if you need something really cold, just drop in a small ice pack in the long or short compartments! **Q: Whats a good bag for this ?** A: This isn't a large lunch box, so just about any lunch bag will do. Everything I have though is slimmer. So the lunch box will lay on its side.
