Perfect For An Unusual Application
I purchased a single outlet version of this product but because of the size and shape of one the plugs it wouldn't close. So I scoured the web looking for a product large enough to cover a single outlet with sufficient space to accommodate a large plug that extended to the edge of the outlet but couldn't find anything close. The outlet in question is under a desk and in perfect position for people to kick it out of the wall, which was a big problem because it powered a door access control system. No power, no keypad entry!I finally decided to try this duel outlet cover because I couldn't find anything else that looked like a possibility. I wasn't confident it would work but I was out of options and desperate to find a solution so I decided to give it a shot. I installed it today and it's perfect! If you have a problem with large or unwieldy plugs on a single outlet situation, this is the solution! The extra space of the duel outlet cover provides plenty of room to house the larger plugs!!

Worked like a charm.
Perfect!!! The kids stopped knocking the plugs out of the wall and then losing their minds that the tv went off.Oh, and safety measures.. yes. Good for safety. But mostly sanity. 🤣It’s strong. I don’t think they’ll break it. And the edges are smooth and angled, not sharp corners.

Works for Oversized Plugs
Our baby monitor plug is oversized and does not fit in a single outlet box. We installed the double box, using a drywall screw on the extra side, and it works perfectly!

Cell phone chargers can be too big to fit- even in this larger size. I would not take the cover off regularly. The plastic cover is durable, but with repeated on/off I think it will fatigue and crack. Perfect fit for an exposed plug in our living room with cords.
